Great video and awesome quality. 👌 Gotta carry that water out in that desert....Southern man. That climate will sneek up on you quick. Looking forward to see what's coming up next.
This has been your best video! Retiring next year and already have this marked on my GPS. Greetings from Florida.
Many thanks to all of you Khalid Abed from Iraq
WOW!!! I am saving this video for my future over-landing adventures. 🤙

Only similar impact on me (70-year-old Californian) would beYosemite and Cave Creek Canyon, Portal, Az. Thanks for the vicarious thrills!
Respect!! Way to adventure!
Great views bro , you made the video entertaining with all the heavy breathing 😂
I watched your adventure in the Canyonlands that was spectacular beautiful photos congratulations in walking up the mountain I miss that I used to do that camping in Nevada a lot of walking in the mountains and digging for precious stones now I can watch your guys it brings back a lot of wonderful memories. I always couldn't wait to get out it always brought me peace realignment so I was able to go back to work, and carry my adventures with me. Now I go out and do a lot of Photography work of landscape and sunsets all around my area. Can't keep me indoors that's for sure thank you again hope to see more.
Memories, that’s what it’s all about.
Over the years we have made 3 trips to the Owyhee Country. It is such remote and beautiful area. In the past we have set up a basecamps and explored with our 4WD. We just acquired a trail capable travel trailer and next year will be planning more remote spike camps and exploring with the 4WD truck. A person and spend a lifetime exploring Eastern and Central Oregon back country.
Getting lost in nature nice hike you made it an adventure
Maybe your best cinematography to date Matt - great job with the Mavic 3 Pro!

That hike you did matt….and you showed how far you were from camp just before you got all the way up, it’s like looking down on Telluride from the top of black bear pass! Correct me if you think I’m wrong, but it seemed pretty far!!!

You’ve got a new subscriber in Middle TN. I just bought a 2007 JK 2dr. I’ve been browsing some channels for overlanding and I really dig this one. Great music. Great photography. And great info! Hope to see you on the trail one day.

Way to go Matt!! that was an epic hike you made. You're absolutely right. Make memories.
Hmmm... That's about the same distance from SoCal as it was to go to OEX PNW, a fairly long 2 day drive. Time to start making plans! Good to meet you, Kara and Goose by the way! Hopefully you eventually got over catching me talking with Rob! 😁
wish I could give you two thumbs up JUST for conquering your hill climb. The red face, the soaked shirt... It was clear the effort that went into it, so you have something to take pride in.
Making dreams into memories! So beautiful and always extra special with friends. Great job on your hikes! Love this! ❤️
Absolutely beautiful footage from one of my favorite spots! The best part is how few people visit!
I clicked the like button in the first seconds of the video. As I know it will be another epic episode. Outstanding effort doing that hike to. I take my hat off to you.

Epic landscape... know what Matt's next purchase might be... one of those amazon type delivery drones...or similar, that has a payload capacity of a couple of pounds, to deliver snacks or water or meds , etc. LOL... great video thank you for sharing your continued adventures.

Wow what an amazing scenery. A real overlanders paradise. Great video 😍😎
so cool. Great job on the hike Mat...I would love to have done that but ankle surgery has me sidelined for a few months( including rehab). Makes me want to revisit my youth...I summered in Oregon growing up. My grandparents lived in Eugene. We explored the state and the Owyhee's is one of my favorite places.
What an awesome tour! The views were incredible! ❤ Need more screen time with Cara and her Defender. Nice scale driving as you dropped into the wash. 😂👍🏼👊🏼✌🏼

Matt, your hike was awesome!! I live 40 minutes from the Owyhees, i loved this video but am a little ashamed that i am sitting on the couch living vicariously through your adventures!! Awesome bideo 👍🏻
Absolutely some beautiful video.
Bring water every time!!
As someone who rock climbed for many years and enjoys a challenge like you ran into on your hike, I would say you all made the right decision to not down climb that if that's not your 'jam'. Why chance getting hurt when you have that great trip ahead of you. Awesome scramble through that notch -it was great to see. I've been watching you guys for years and this is my favorite video of yours to date. Great job with putting it all together, music, the whole shabang :) cheers
Absolutely gorgeous video. Your prettiest video yet, and plenty of good Jeep action, too. That new camera and your drone catches the color tones so darn nice. That area is definitely on my list to go next year!

Wow this video os like the meetup of the big Overland channels!
Wow!! Amazing landscape. Looks like such a fun trip.
Good job Matt. I needed the inspiration. Hope you and the crew had a great trip!
Beware, those mormon crickets will get into your things and hitch a ride home with you, we have had a couple on our utv trailer when we loaded up to go home from silver city, thankfully, they fell off on the drive home. When we got home , 2 cicadas flew off the trailer and into the trees, where they lived all summer!!!
Matt & Cara, i watch your channel as well as Brad’s, Will’s and Rob’s channels: yours is quickly becoming my favorite with this video: your combination of beautiful music accompanying gorgeous drone footage is on the level of a well made documentary. You have become fine film makers. I have just sold my 2020 JL Wrangler and am looking forward to more of your beautiful videos so i can overland vacariously through your adventures. Check out the north Idaho panhandle , it’s gorgeous
Can’t believe you kept climbing! Good for you! That was great.

Yeah, I had the same thought.
In Mike Hanley's book "Owyhee Trails," he recounts that the word "Owyhee" actually is a 19th-Century expedition guess at spelling of Hawaii. A couple of "Kanakas" sent down into the canyon never returned, so named in their honor.
Great Video! I have the same drone and was wondering what your recording settings were (d-log?) and how much color grading you did. :) looked great!
@OzarkOverlandAdventures
Жыл бұрын
I just shoot normal colors and rarely color grade unless something is off. I don't have time to deal with color grading a bunch of log files. LOL.

@OzarkOverlandAdventures yeah it can be a chore! Good to know though for me. The footage looked great! Thanks for the reply
Those big black bugs in the road are called mormon crickets (im not sure why) i live in the Boise area, take the UTV to Silver City and the Owyhees: they love the heat and come out heavily in the summer, have also seen them on the road to atlanta, idaho, otherwise never see them in the valley
😳 you have to have a license to operate a drone??? What? Shut the front door!!

@@OzarkOverlandAdventures We love watching you and your wife doing videos! It really has inspired my GF and I to start doing this. since we bought our jeep just before the 4th of July, we have been out to a new place every single weekend, and we are loving it! As a younger couple, with 3 kids, and new to the jeeping/wheeling/overlanding world, we would love to see a new person friendly video from ya'll! (if you don't have one already) Maybe talk about some of the easier routes for new people in Arkansas, do's, and don't(s) maybe some of the obvious stuff for us Millennials new to the life style. (not new to camping and what not, but when it comes to finding trails, navigating trails, choosing trails that are okay for your vehicle. groups/group rides. Maybe some things to look out for, or stay clear from. Help some of us beginners getting into it!

Why do people with rigs that have a trailer unhook their trailer at camp?
@frenchie4wd
Жыл бұрын
Depends. In this situation, two things had occurred. 1) I had to raise it significantly to level it due to my tent being on top. When raised, I couldn’t access my rear tailgate area so I had to unhook to move forward to open that. And 2) We left camp to meet up with Brad and Regena while Danielle stayed behind. I didn’t want to take the trailer out again so we left it.
