INCREDIBLE 1000L Sloped River Tank at Atlas Aquariums!
In this video I show a close up look of an aquascaped sloped river tank at Atlas Aquariums here in Australia. The first time I saw this tank 3-months ago it stopped me in my path, I was absolutely taken by it. I was so happy to be able to go back last month and have Finn and Wilson give me a run down on the tank, discuss how it came to be, and show some of the unique fish and plants that inhabit it!

This is a beautiful tank. it reminds me of when in high school (35 years ago) one of my best friends built a 300 gallon river tank. We live in the Appalachian foothills in southern Ohio, so the fish aren't very exotic, but he built a local ecosystem in his basement. Minnows, catfish, common (not asian) carp, local river clams, crawdads, and whatever plant life he dug out of the riverbed while he was gathering clams. He set it up so the water flowed constantly from one end of the tank to the other. It was pretty awesome.

I’ve been to this shop a couple of times and this river tank is amazing to see in person. It is like they lifted a section of a stream out of the wild and put it in the store. Such a pleasure to see.

I really enjoyed watching it, Finn and Wilson did a great job explaining it and it's a credit to the store, this is one of my favourite aquarium shops in Brisbane with the attention to detail they have put in, the stream tank is awesome to look at each time I go there just watching it evolve is great.
