Ok, I have to stop the happy tears now to comment on this fantastic video. I can't believe how fate guided you to a town where the patron saint is Saint Luca and Saint Rocco is the patron saint of miracles. Luca's recovery and good health is truly a miracle and Saint Luca will be Luca and the entire family's patron saint. I loved the festival and although I have never been to Sicily I felt such a deep connection and emotional feeling for the experience. I love the muted plums and greys of the floor - reminds me of the lovely old colours that look like Christmas. Old dark wood looks good with that colour scheme. Maybe a table? I’d go with red myself. It would really pop in that room. Those are amazing floors. If those kitchen tiles are in good shape just a good cleaning and some sealant might do it. This house is a small treasure in disguise. Congratulations!

I think a green sofa would look lovely with that floor. You can get glue removal stuff from vinyl flooring, Those tiles underneath are beautiful in the kitchen in fact in the whole house it is beautiful I would keep them all. Wow you have done so much in three weeks and Lucce is a most wonderful, darling, baby. Her smiles lightens your day, I have never seen such a happy baby as Lucce,.

You will not regret updating the toilet, bidet and sink. Get a nice storage cabinet/sink that looks amazing when you enter the bathroom!

Loving everything about you finding & restoring this charming, ancient place. I do wish Luca had worn a dust mask when ripping out that old flooring. Mildew, etc (?) can exist in between layers of old flooring like that. You don’t need ancient mildew getting into your sinuses & lungs. The old flooring you washed is extraordinary! The pattern is so unusual! How old it it? Is it a pattern made of stone tile pieces? Can you find a historian to tell you the age of this flooring? I’d wash the toilet & bidet before ripping it out. It has an elegant style quality, like maybe from the 20s or 30s, but could be older. I’m so happy for you in all you’ve accomplished since I began watching you a couple years ago. I was glad you said the old kitchen flooring is beautiful Sara, & that you both appreciate the place the way it is & are finding ways to make upgrades as needed.

YELLOW will make it look bright and happy.

What a transformation you have done already! Nice to see an American saying nice things about the Italian people. I have been watching since C-19, you two have gotten my husband & I through that. Two years ago we made plans to go to Italy, for our 58th anniversary, but got the virus. In a few days we will be celebrating our 60th, but doubt if we will ever see your beautiful country. I love your tile rugs, they’re beautiful Sara, I believe a light charcoal gray would be handsome with red and yellow pillows to accent all; if you chose green, you’d get tired of it, green and red pillows you could use at Christmas time to change it up for a while, spring time, bring out the yellow pillows again, the gray would wear better also and would enhance other throws in any color too. It’s my choice, have fun finding your favorite. Now a red rug would be beautiful in your living area. I believe a green rug with green accents on your bedding would pull the two rooms together when the doors are open from the living room to the bedroom and the red rug in the living room would pull the living room and kitchen together, enchanting and it would flow with color ❤🎉. Congratulations on what you have done. For the bathroom I’d use a dark gray for the bath towels, they will really stand out on the beautiful tiled walls ❤. The kitchen, use Red Poppy flowers or Red, yellow and orange Zinnias flowers on your kitchen towels ❤. Spicy Italian girl 😂!

Now that you see the kitchen floor, I suggest a sofa in the golden yellow. Red would be too strong. You can easily draw the other colors in to accent. Wow! The kitchen is the best surprise.
