So who loves this CoolBot device?

As a licensed HVACR contractor I can tell you your walls are always going to condensate. You may not be able to see it always, but it will. Your walls are going to rust out. There is a reason walkin coolers/freezers are professionally built. Your walls are not thick enough, interior walk in walls are 4”-6” thick insulation core, exterior walk ins range between 6”-8” thick insulation cores. All of the metal framing should also be sealed in foam to prevent condensation. All gaps cracks and crevices get sealed with a substance called butyl that never hardens to allow flexing during temperature swings from the outside wall to the inside wall.

winter squash is pretty, produces well, and stores up to a year....plant it for weed control, and to give to your food bank.

Also, look into any variety "you" r interested in, as not all are as long of keepers. For ex., my favorite, the Buttercup, is not :( :( :( . Also, I jave had a LOT of trouble in recent years even with the long-storage varieties I and my friend had grown, last winter they were in a cold basement, maybe it was too cold ?? We were new to, temporarily in, my friend's rental house and we didn't get around to dealing with all of 'holes' , m/l, down there which were letting in lotsa frigid outside air ( Chippewa county,WI ). And the squashes were mostly on pallets on the concrete floor... . Anyhow, my point is that there's no guarantees with how long they'll last and it's not always fool-proof etc. . I only learned this past year to cure them 1st ( but my friend's basically had been that time and they still rotted fast). At least they can still be eaten if only starting to go bad and u cut that part off, & when more bad, be fed to chickens. On food banks : Apparently they commonly take them now, but about 15 years ago, my neighbor at the time said he couldn't give them to our local one when he'd tried not too long b4. Not enough patrons of theirs would take them/liked them/knew what to do with em or wanted to try etc. etc. . My favorite way to eat squash is baked ( I bake whole or cut it in half, lay cut-side-down in baking dish with an in. or 2 of water to keep the juices leaking out from baking onto my pan) and then I usually scrape out seeds etc. when cool enough to handle ( barely ;), with a cloth sometimes) and then flatten out a chunk of it on my plate, and apply butter, salt and pepper &/or fried hamburger and onions, adding cooked, heated butter-beans sometimes. Mentioning this because too many folks were only raised on sugary &/or soupy/too whipped ways to eat em, and don't like that, and think they hate squash because of it. I love mine unharmed and nowadays I eat the skins too ( b4 baking I knock or cut off any less-edible blemishes).

Pete..look at a Pioneer mini split. They ship,from Florida and you can install yourself and use less energy than the window unit and only need a less than 3 “ hole for hoses and power. They are available in 110 v too.

@@billintexas7061 Ah. Do you work for them or something? I have 2 Pioneer Mini Split units that are barely 1 year old and have issues. 1 doesn't heat or cool anymore. The error codes and symbols on the remote are hard to decipher and there's not a lot of info out for the specific Pioneer units.

@@billintexas7061 Why is it a smart assed comment? I legitimately had questions about Pioneer Mini Split AC's and wondered why someone would recommend them specifically. I believe the compressor went out in 1 of my units. Could've been due to lack of cleaning the filters by previous owner.

I haven't been on a FL beach since I was too, but thank God there's some nice, gorgeous, sea-side amenities & ambiance near (ish) me !

That is really cool, that might be better than buying a new fridge and if a person can do it probably not cost much more ,the new fridges are at least several hundred dollars and the bins and shelves in them look like they will break the first time a person uses them, I've been using an ice chest for quite a while, my fridge has not cooled for several years. . I used a product called temp coat to paint the outside of mine years ago, pricey but worth every penny ,dropped temp 20 degrees in the summer. This product had micro ceramic beads in it ,water based. This product was used on the Huey P Long bridge in New Orleans.

Love it... Great video and idea... If you are not familiar with the product check out "Space beads" before you paint the unit. They are ceramic beads with a vacuum inside. They greatly reduce heat transfer. I have used them in attics to drop the temps from 150-160 to about 90F... Spray or roll them onto the exterior for a nice thermal break. Pretty inexpensive too...

MIstake#1 : Buying that used POS window unit off of Facebook Marketplace and not at absolute minimum buying a higher quality, inverter driven one. Mistake#2: DIY grade RFI board, Home Depot foil tape and spray foam, not even an R8 value, thing will turn into a giant mold and mildew factory. Mistake#3: Not spending the few grand on a used walk-in cooler instead of the Conex box.
