I was thinking the same! I have heard him a few times on Talk Sport and he is an out and out legend! He is always very passionate, very articulate and none of the presenters can compete with his articulation and charisma! He is a charismatic and enthralling guy! Spurs have the same problem Klopp had when he came to loserpool Hopefully spurs pull their heads out of their backsides long enough to not make the same mistake Klopp did by giving in Sell literally everyone not in the youth academy, start from scratch. Find the best scouts in europe, grab a bunch of consistent mid tier players who play for passion not money and bring them in wont cost you even 120 mil. Then after that grab some more in the january window to shore up and cement the culture. After that you can spend the following summer filling in gaps with superior players but keeping the first group for their loyalty and passion so they can be played when your better players need rest It isn't hard you have the money

Conte is 100% spot on. Pochettino, Mourinho and now Conte, Surly they can’t all be bad managers. All three managers expressed the fact that they needed new players. Yes Levy spent and bought in players. However, the players he bought were not first choice players and probably not second choice players. He keeps buying players with potential and not players which can come straight into the first team. That’s not to mention the players Levy bought which the manager didn’t want. Levy is the only problem at this club. The sooner he goes the better.

Poch was the big one. If they'd backed him when they had Kane, Eriksen, Alli, Son, Moura, Dembele, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Lamela etc they could've done something massive. Conte voicing what Spurs fans have been saying for years. Likely its a combination of players not being quite good or motivated enough - a lot of the shortcomings (not all, but a lot), fall at the feet of the players. So far - they've largely shouldered little or no blame, Conte was right to call them out, if behind the scenes he's tried to change the mindset, but met with no response. It's not like he's the only manager we've had who's struggled to get this bunch to show any consistency!

Irony aside, the main of his point was correct- as is his praise of Arteta as a man manager. Spurs finished above them and are now miles behind; less than a year has passed. That’s not simply due to a gap in spending; it’s systemic failure on all levels, and there is an onus on the manager to improve what he has, not simply frame himself as a matyr. Trouble is Levy hired Conte and he needs to a manage a certain type of player, same as Simeone. The weak bunch of prats at Spurs aren’t going to handle his style and step up. They aren’t cut out for adversity 🤷🏼‍♀️ That was blatantly obvious when Mourinho lost the tie against Dinamo Zagreb in Europa.

@@TheWorldsGoneMad2022 it’s the tactics and more so the formation he plays, and he doesn’t change it , for anyone, it simply doesn’t work here, I can take 1-0 all day long but as soon as you don’t win or score it starts to look very bad,and we go from 2 -3 clean sheets to conceding 2/3/4 a game same we score goals then nothing for 3 games, it just drove me mad in the end

Matt was 💯 right. Good call. Conte has had enough and he didn’t want to come to spurs in the first place and what conte thought was going to happen has happened. Cant blame the manager for coming out and saying it how it is. People saying it’s his tactics, yes with better more committed players those tactics would work, squad isn’t good enough. Trust me as an evertonian we have had the same issues with our owner and I get it. Spurs had mourinho and it didn’t work and all this talk about Poch, he didn’t win naff all and when he was sacked he was sacked for a reason, these same players lost commitment under Poch too. Yeah conte probably does want the sack but I don’t blame him, he can’t get anything out of these players. The players need to look at themselves. What the hell has happened to son? That ain’t contes fault.

Totally agree - LFC fan - and it's not exclusive to Spurs. They had the same problem for years at Utd, until the board actually listened to Ragnick and Ten Hag. They got rid of their biggest problems -Pogba and Ronaldo - and they've improved. Tell me Pogba and Ronaldo have gone on to better things! Chelsea have this problem, as well. To a lesser degree, so do Liverpool - VVD has spent all season sulking, and TAA hasn't put a shift in for about three years. I'm old enough to remember Shankly. As far as my club goes, it seems a lot of the players think 'one medal is enough, we'll just take the money, now thanks'. If I were Conte, though, with only a couple of months left on his contract, nothing to lose, I would have ended the press conference by announcing my resignation.

He turned victor moses into an unbelievable wing back for a season at Chelsea, our team wasn’t amazing but he had players that done what he said and had the desire to want to make it work and we won the prem.

Son. It is Contes fault. He's no midfielder. Can't head, can't tackle, can't pass and has poor close control. He should be further up the pitch. Inside forward. However Harry ain't helping either. Don't jump for the ball to flick on. Hardly wins the ball direct from the keeper. I could go on
