You are using the jig incorrectly. Have the dial indicator stylus on the table not the blade and have the nylon tipped screw on the blade. I think you'll find it easier to use.

Not sure that’s correct or that it would work. The Inca instructions state to use the indicator on the blade, like I did. Also, if you look at its design, it would be completely unstable using it in the opposite way.
