INAUGURAL FLIGHT | SAS A321LR | Gothenburg (GOT) - New York (EWR) | Economy Class
Last week, I had the unique opportunity to experience one of the biggest days in Gothenburg aviation history. After more than 40 years without a single scheduled transatlantic route, Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) finally started a route from Gothenburg to New York.
The check-in, SAS Lounge, and gate were all festive for the occasion, and the gate area featured key people in Swedish aviation, including a speech by SAS CEO Anko van der Werff.
Come along and see my experience traveling on the inaugural flight in SAS Go (economy), not only on the flight, but also in the lounge and during the festivities on the ground before the flight!

Thanks, I'm booked on AAL-EWR this summer, specifically to try out the A321LR across the pond. Hoping to try out more A321LR and XLR routes in the future as well.

Veldig spennende!
Trevlig video......STORT TACK!!
SAS really need to renew their cabin staff …. The pilots even look younger than cabin staff 😂😂😂😂😂 Though it’s quite interesting flying long distance with an A321 even though ppl don’t really get and are quite negative with it. But it tends to be a new way of flying transatlantic or long haul distance.
SAS 💙🤗
nice video. i prefer 2 aisle aircraft for transatlantic flights, for the extra space and wiggle room, having flown a couple times on the bergen-stewart route of norwegian.

Thanks! I also prefer two-aisle aircraft for transatlantic flights. However, knowing that this route wouldn't be economically viable with a widebody, I am totally fine with it. After all, a narrowbody flight is better than no flight at all!

The last row of SAS Plus is row 22, and behind the curtain, SAS Go starts at row 30.

When the plane lands in New York, do you see Manhattan? And if so, on which side should you sit on the flight?
@dan.spotter1648
Жыл бұрын
@@Yuzy86 unfortunately not, as the flights into EWR generally come in from the west, and Manhattan is east of the airport. You can, however, get a glimpse of some tall buildings from the ground at the airport.
