inalla spellseeker edh combo explained
Ойындар
Inalla is a grix commander that can win from only 1 spell seeker and 4 mana from your hand. In this video we are explaining how that combo works.

Ahh yes, the 20 card combo that wins by confusing your opponents! My favorite!

Remember you dont need to swing with your infinite wizards if inalla is on the battlefield, her 2nd ability lets you burn opponents directly

i've been playing the first 3 turns of inalla by myself like 50 times and it still suprises me how many wins i can figure out with so many diffrent kinds of hands. its a ton of fun, however, still not confident i wont durdle in a multiplayer game xD
One of the big reasons for using scholar of the ages instead of archaeomancer is that scholar of the ages can win at instant speed with 4B and 2 colorless with shallow grave and entomb, by entombing scholar, casting shallow grave and getting both back with the first then entombing burnt offering and get that and shallow grave back with the copy. You then loop and entomb and return whatever instants you want, as you net +1 instant with the loop, and with the last entomb, you get ThOracle and shallow grave it with infinite blue devotion.

Can also win with a dark ritual entomb and reanimate. Not instant speed but archemancer can't do that
for those of you looking how to beat this, if you don't have any counterspells your best interaction is swords to plowshares (or path to exile) on Spellseeker in response to all the initial triggers.

The technomancer/bloodline necromancer combo for inalla is quite fun if you can get technomancer in the bin!
I can’t believe I tried building Inalla like this. So convoluted lol Fun but makes for short Archenemy games lol
I played this deck about a year ago after you first showcased a video talking about it with Mikey. I managed to start with spell seeker and dark ritual in hand to begin a turn 2 combo, thankfully my playgroup was unfamiliar with the combo so they mental misstepped my culling the weak, so I could still grab unearth and combo off the following turn. It is a pretty fast deck, so if your goal is solely to win it’s great, but i personally prefer a bit slower of a game (my favorite deck is Tasigur control) to have more time to talk with friends at the table, and since some of the folks at my lgs can get kind of mad when a game ends fast (even when we all agreed to playing CEDH)
As someone who plays Inalla quite a bit I would say one thing that people mess up more than you would expect: If you have counter magic counter the initial Culling the Weak, that is when the Inalla player is the most constrained on mana and it's the most complicated situation to get out of if you don't happen to have the right pieces in hand already or a lot of mana on the board. Too many players will just be like "We can let this go for a bit and then interact further down the line" and it makes it so much easier to pivot as the Inalla player since then you can usually just resolve Spellseeker triggers setting up for a win next turn instead.
seeing this go off on turn 1 was glorious to behold
I was looking at grixis commander's and inalla really struck a chord with me I'm going to assume this combo isn't the main way to win with everything else that can go in the deck and just another way to win lol which is really cool I didn't know anything about this combo before this video so thanks for explaining everything!

Inalla has been my main commander since I started playing the game. She is super versatile, and you will always find new ways to win. She is awesome. This line is the main cEDH line. However, if you want to play in a more casual setting, there are lots of variations. Rites of replication + dualcaster mage, Wanderwine prophets, Naru Meha + almost anything, etc.
@laicuan1

The spellseeker line is the main way of winning due to alot of the weird dead cards that are used (finale, burnt offering, culling ritual) but the grixis shell can easily support having thassas oracle/demonic con/tainted pact lines as well as underworld breech/brain freeze/LED or petal lines.
great combo! and with relevent peices! though sadly this line is restricted to this commander for now.

Correct. You need the eminence thingy.
Your shirt is fire bro
I'm trying to make a thrasios vial smasher midrange and I have a pretty similar line using spellseeker, a saw in half, and neoform. I didn't realize how close it was until I remembered inalla was a thing😂
so you need 5 mana, 3UB (The B for culling the weak)
The Finale part is wrong tho You cant put CtW on the stack without sacrificing a creature and you can't wait for Unearth to resolve to put CtW on the stack, so that CtW is lost, unless you sac the token
Island. Sol ring turn 2 choose violence
Is there a win con that doesn't go infinite with a similar pile? My inalla deck is made in a way that it's impossible to go infinite. My usual win con is Cut//Ribbons.

You have like stax cards in it? Well yes and no it depends on your deck. If you want to you can write to me on discord. My discord is in the description of the video. My name on discord is micromonkey. You can find my name in red text on my discord.
Played this quite recently..... The only way to win this game is when the following conditions are true: 1. Your core pieces are still in the deck 2. You are sure (like DAMN SURE) that your opponents do not spend their resources on you It's a glass cannon of line combo but it's fun to play

The only piece you need in the deck is the creature, right? All the other ones can already be in your hand. Or do you mean "not in your graveyard"?
You know... the pieces for this have been around for quite a while now. This is pretty damn good i like it.
what other card can you use, rather than shallow grave. my LGS doesnt have them
@cedhtv

Good question. First I would recommend to try and order from an website so the cards get to your door. There should be some other options though. You could try persist. Exhume.
Would a budget version of this be okay in casual edh pod?
@cedhtv
Жыл бұрын
Depends on the casual power level. But in generall. No.
What I never understood is that the red finalle let's you cast both the cards without paying their mana costs. But it's on resolution, so I don't see how culling the weak can sacrifice original spellseeker since it sacrifices as part of the cost. So unearth needs to target something (being SS) and culling needs to sacrifice something even before unearth resolved no?
@cedhtv

You still need to pay the additional cost of spells.

Token copy of spell seeker?
@laicuan1

You don't have to cast them at the same time right away. So you can cast and resolve unearth wait for the spell seeker to put its ability on the stack then at instant speed cast culling (sacing the original spellseeker as part of the cost)

Yes, you can, the only thing that really makes shallow grave better is that you can do parts of the line (and parts of other Inalla lines) at instant speed
im runing Pirates and this is my comander😂 are you confused yet ? lol it pirate tribal and im turning them into wizards via some other cards but using this comanders ability to make a copy when im dont the end result is like i copy a spell make a ton of treasure cast a spell copy the spell x times if a pirate dies i get x treasure to again get more treasure the thing is it makes a dumb amount of treasure but ill work out the stuff in a while iv gotta rebiild my pirate deck into something new and unseeen b4

I had a question brother. What do you think of merrow bonegnawerer?Eventide 1 drop Merfolk rogue. Check out both those abilities on it too brother. I wonder if merrow bonegnawer is a good card. It’s been worthless foil since 2008. Seems like a pretty broken ability on a one drop body. And Merfolk and rogue typing is 🔥. And the tapped ability is actually really not bad. I got 52 foils for $33 shipped. Seems like a decent deal since 1999-2005 foils are drying up in good supply. Anyway my question is how is merrow bonegnawerer foils worth only .55c each shipped? That’s one of the best one drop bodies I’ve ever read. The potential is insane. I mean honestly the prime play is to turn it into a mana dork somehow and abuse its untap ability. Absolutely nutty 1 drop I’ve never seen anyone play despite it being absolutely statistically disgusting. I understand it’s a little narrow in how to make it hyper efficient but it is a one drop that has the potential to be incredibly hyper efficient.

@@cedhtv I think the big thing people are forgetting is that in 2017 when I started playing magic and edh, painters servant has been banned in the format. Idk how long it was banned for but it wasn’t until very recently that it got unbanned. A lot of good play lines with painters servant aren’t known because they require very old cards.
Can Saw in Half be relevant in this combo?
