We first learned of Charmaine Vegas in 2014 as one of a handful of jewelers in Long Beach making strides with their minimal style. Now, nearly five years later, Vegas' business and brand Bless the Theory still elicits a satisfying simplicity, but with a growing stock of material including precious stones, gold sand, copper, bronze and more.
Born in Compton, and having lived for a few years in Hawaii where her father was raised, her craft clearly shows the natural textures of the islands' rich landscapes with an urban touch. Her work also reflects the human experience, how we seek perfection but are beautiful in our flaws.
