IN THE SHADE OF THE OLD APPLE TREE | Stephanie Trick & Paolo Alderighi
Музыка
“In the Shade of the Old Apple Tree” was written by Egbert Van Alstyne and Harry Williams in 1905. Van Alstyne wrote about 400 compositions, including rags, novelty songs, and ballads. He noted that the inspiration for this song came from his childhood, which he spent in bucolic places. His family vacationed in Michigan in a home surrounded by white pines and apple orchards, which is supposedly where he wrote his first tunes.

Thanks so much!! 😊
Oh, how I admire you - you manage to turn a simple song into a rousing boogie woogie, and yet the piece retains the lightness of a serenade on a mild spring evening. Thank you for this wonderful Sunday evening (here in Germany).
WOO HOO!!!!! That's the best that wonderful old song has ever sounded!!! Thanks a million. Lots of love from Gene in Tennessee.
That was so fun! I started smiling at the first note. If you're not tapping your foot to this, check your pulse, you might be dead. lol
We love to boogie! We love to boogie on a Sunday afternoon. Go Steph go! Boogielicious!
I haven’t described a song as fun in a long time. Probably around when I skipped. You are fun!

Loved youer arrangement. You guys never cease to amaze😂
Superbe arrangement! Merci et un grand bonjour depuis la Suisse 😊
Sometimes you get a notification from Stephanie and Paolo and you see the song title and rush to watch it. I am well acquainted with this tune and have played it quite often because it has a lovely melody but is quite, shall we say, twee and reserved. So clicking on the link I have to say expectations weren't high. I knew it would be good, it's Stephanie and Paolo after all, but, oh my word, it wasn't just good it was outstanding. I could never have expected that lovely old song to sound so fantastic. Thank you so much for giving us so many great renditions this year. One closing question, what are the things under the right hand side of the keyboard that look like audio jacks?
Beautiful Thanks!!
That was truly amazing
Maravilha é bom ouvir vcs tocar piano, parabens

Stephanie it's been a hot minute since I've seen you ha ha (west coast ragtime festival in like 2010 a billion years ago). You and Paolo are absolutely amazing. Thanks for all the videos you guys make. It is such good motivation to keep playing and enjoying the piano. :)

IM sure i could play better if i always had a suit and tie on. But i love the music what ever you wear.
Fine old tune (i once could play it). Looked like Stephanie likes this piano more than the guy...!
