Mateus playing is so beautiful and heavenly that it brings tears to my eyes. And Matteo is just unreal. I may suck at guitar for now, but i'm so proud to have picked up the instrument and call myself a guitar player like these two. Thank you Rick, for being that connection point between old and new generations of guitar players, that safe place where the guitar is living its best life and proving it will still be around for a long, very long time.

Great interview with two monster guitarists and musicians. Love the EVH tribute at the end. Eddie created a new language that so so him. Rarely does anyone speak so loudly with such a unique voice. These guys are so wise. They will go very far!

I used to see Rick all over KZread for a while, enjoyed your top chart contents and other interviews and stuff all the while realizing I’m not subscribed to you. But for a guitarist of 15yrs, (4 if we’re talking professionally) I’m so happy and blessed that you appear in my timeline and finally I’ve subscribed and love this content of you bringing people I look up to. Keep it up, boss!

These were the best 33:54 minutes of the year so far. Rick is amazing at orienting the conversation and bouncing back on the players’ points. Both players are incredible, in terms of technicality of course, but also on their maturity, and their views on the guitar world today, and also in the past. The comment about the right hand stuff these days is spot on! Loved the video thank you for that
