Hi, i'am a 20 years old young man from Brasil and i like the way that you explain the concepts of psychology. I have a question for you: my best intelligences are linguistic intrapessoal and existencial. I' am a performing arts/acting student but i know that my body and musical intelligence is very poor. Should i search for other professional area? Can i became very good in area that i have many dificults? The question is: do what i' am good or do a thing that i like but don't have the natural talent? What are the talent of the good actor? What intelligence predominant in excellent actors? Muito obrigado! Espero que possa me ajudar!

@@lucastelis3194 Okay I will try as best as I could to help you, but I not sure what I say is away true ( you must find it out by yourself). Fist of all, we don't have bullshit thing like multiple intelligences what we have is g-factor with each factor will affect you ability to solving problem and understand different things. Like 6=2*3 with 2 and 3 is a factor of 6 ( G ). Each of these combine together create your IQ ( like 6 ) With your case, I could guess that you have talent in verbal reasoning (linguistic intrapessoal ) And the next talent is mental abstraction ( which is hard to test....and I not find out enough about that ability) from what you said "existencial". So hard to say why you bad at music when you have that verbal reasoning and abstraction mental like that. But I think that it may be from your Big-5 personality=>Openness =>'Artistic interests' and you low on that trait. The second things that music correlate with verbal reasoning, but music is a talent that not easy to define just by test it like verbal. It also (from my opinion) correlate with intuition and your style of thinking. And if you have talent in verbal but your style of thinking or you don't have high intuition then..... Finally, what I can say about your case is that you don't have problem with your cognitive ability (IQ) but may be you don't have some talent in some area or your personality.....or something else From what I know that actor they usually read a lot before acting so they need a lot of verbal IQ and the more the character connect with philosophy or complex story the more they need mental abstraction to understand deep about it. So I think you could easy become DIRECTOR more than a actor if you have those ability but can't have talent to acting, like General know about tactic but can't not fight as good as a Soldiers so if you can why not try to be a General with those ability.

Please help me. I was tested for memory a couple years ago and found out mine it at the top 8th percentile. He said it was superior. I mean if it’s better than 92% of people… Please help. My it is up there past over 100. And my critical thinking makes my critical thinking/logical thinking very high scores also. It’s not as high as some of the people. But my life lessons… I see how to fix everything. And no one believes me. 😢

i think in images, i always struggled with maths and physics, i was supergood at history, geography, art, literature and philosophy as i converted the info into images. When i started converting physics into images i was amazed...i cant explain it. I cannot do the same with maths, i cannot memorize formulas, its like a kind of dislexia. Thinking in images is like zipping the files, you can transmit and recall more info as a picture is worth more than a thousand words.

@@diegoapalategui579 South Africa, grew up in what I'd say is a lower middle-class home, single parent. I did effortlessly well in school, then gradually above average until graduating high school, any struggle I had was pinned on my disenchantment with the system and things went unnoticed. I'm learning these things years later. I've never tried painting, but I did draw up til highschool when my conservative mother would not let me pursue an art related path so I stopped. Recently got bitten by the fashion bug and interior design. We aren't commonly understood and few of us are raised right and educated with proper aid. I tried going back to college last year and the level of incompetence paired with sequential education pissed me off. I've learnt to always find alternative paths.

I can even draw without thinking that much of what I want to draw. Because of pshycology I found out that all people can be intelligent in their own ways. I particularly liked the explanation of the genius, and how we tend to judge our own and others abilities, which results in possibly stunting our growth and preventing us from realizing our full potential. Thanks for bringing it to limelight. I think I can relate to Akiane here... sketchbook has been more of a companion than people for me. In the world full of A grade mentality, I used to disdain my art skills. but reflecting back on it, I think this can be the biggest gift I have. Art, isn't just for aesthetic pleasures but yes it gives form to everything that isn't physical. I realized that I was natural at visualizing and imaging perspective and I had a good visuospatial cognition compared to the other students as I could understand the systems and 3D designs better and it has been a great thing to put in use in my engineering course and other innovations. her parents did a great job in identifying and aiding her talent.

If I had the work ethic I would probably be a genius in the field of photography and motion pictures as I am in the 95th percentile of people of this form of intelligence. But like this video has said, if you don't have the work ethic then you never will become a genius. My definition of visual spatial intelligence is being able to visualise a scene and all of its elements including the placement of people and objects from every angle with perfect clarity; without even having to look through a camera. I can tell whether a camera is at the right height or at the right angle just by standing back and looking to see how it is placed on a tripod; something that I have never seen anyone else actually do.

Painting extremely realistic paintings is a subset of genius in Visual intelligence. For a long time now in the art world painting realistically is not consider genius art. Genius art is considered painting in new ways or/and conceptually different ways. So this video is using mainstream popular examples to prove its point but in the artworld the examples arent consider genius of art. There is a person that got a head injury and could suddenly draw extremely accurately without training. Drawing accurately is like brute force intelligence not conceptual intelligence.

Profound content and the style of explanation !!! Thank you !!! And I got curious and puzzled about the overlapping of different intelligences and how it could be expressed ... For example, Visual Intelligence + Logical-Mathematical or Existential that were mentioned. I'd like to know more about this. But what about Visual Intelligence + Intrapersonal Intelligence ??? How this relates to the interest in Complex Systems including Social and Human Systems and in the Mind and Cognitive Science? Personally, I feel that Visual Thinking is more overwhelming and demands a lot of energy and resources in comparison to Verbal-Sequential Intelligence. It takes so much effort to translate images in words. I struggle !!! ) But this is only my personal experience, and I have no experience in Verbal Thinking to be more objective ))) Wanna know more-more-more !!! )) What would you recommend to watch and learn? And thank you again for sharing this knowledge!

Great question. In the multiple intelligences theory, emotional intelligence is related to interpersonal intelligence and intrapersonal intelligence. We did videos on these (I'll leave the links below in case you haven't seen them). Yet, I do think emotional intelligence can be considered an intelligence of its own, which relates to the ability to recognize, understand, and influence other people's emotions and to recognize, understand, and regulate your own emotions. Your comment has inspired me to want to make a video about emotional intelligence as well, so thank you!
