That’s my fav brand of pasta, Barilla. I usually just use Prego sauce on my ground beef, but I’ll try your way Tzagh! Yours looks delish!

Armenian-Persian Makaron Recipe Ingredients: Capellini #1 spaghetti 2 pounds of ground meat of your choice, preferably meat with some fat like 93% lean and 7% fat. 2 large russet potatoes 2 large tomatoes 4 tablespoons tomato paste 2 tomatoes 1 large onion 3 cloves of garlic 2 tsp chili flakes or Aleppo pepper 2 tsp turmeric powder 2 tsp curry powder 3 tsp of black pepper ½ cup of cooking oil (grapeseed or sunflower seed) Salt to taste Directions: Slice potatoes into rounds. Grate the tomatoes. Roughly chop onions and garlic. Saute onions and garlic in a wide pan on low-medium heat with ¼ cup of oil. While onions and garlic are sauteing, put 4-5 cups of water in a tall pot, add some salt and some cooking oil. Put the pot on medium-high heat so that it can come to a boil. Add tomato paste, seasonings, ground meat to the sauteing onion and garlic mixture. Chop up the ground meat using a wooden spoon until the mixture is homogeneous. Once homogenous, stir in the grated tomatoes. Put a lid and let it cook on low-medium heat for about 5-7 minutes. The pot of water should be boiling, and it is time to break the spaghetti in half and add it into the pot. Stir the pot of pasta a bit so it does not stick. Allow the spaghetti to cook for about 5 minutes and add into a strainer, and run cold water on strained spaghetti for about 10 seconds. Add the remaining ¼ cup of cooking oil onto the bottom of the pot and place sliced potatoes along the bottom of the pot. Add spaghetti back into the pot where it was boiling in as well as add the meat sauce and mix until sauce covers spaghetti equally. Put a lid on the spaghetti mixture and allow to slowly cook further for 10-15 minutes on low heat. Enjoy makaron with Armenian pickles and madzoon!
