Mia Elise Me and my wife talk about this ALL of the time. In the 80's and 90's, there were TONS of black shows out. Not to mention, they were mostly, positive. In The House was one of my favorites. I watched it, when it was on NBC to when it moved to UPN.

I miss da old tv One is gd that they makin reruns on martin, living single, good times and jeffersons but they makin a few crappy shows, parole diares, save my son n unsung they took off gd 90 sitcoms that air from 06-11 they shuld give bac hanging with mr cooper, in the house, malcolm and eddie, thea, parenthood and smart guy at least they culd put it on centirc or maybe bet, or create at channel for 90 sitcoms, i wish tv one brought this bac i seen martin n living single too many times

Debbie Allen was in one episode of The Cosby Show (Season 5, Episode 10) "If the Dress Fits, Wear It"). She was Emma "Captain Bone-crusher" Newhouse. She was Clair's exercise instructor. She was also in an episode of A Different World (Season 5, Episode 12 "Twelve Steps of Christmas") as Dr. Langhorne. She was Whitley's therapist. That was memorable because Debbie's wig fell off (when she was laying on a couch) and they left it in the episode.

I loved this show! All the actors/actress were good but Maia had really good comedic timing. I've heard that she's schizo and after her mom died, she went off the deep end. I don't think she chose to do crack. She probably lost her mind and no one took care of her. At any rate, it's terrible. :(
