I just love how it sounds like Page is firing up a V8 guitar at the start of the solo. Awesome

In the evening is a beautiful song and this album In through the out door I think is highly underrated because people compare it to all Led Zeppelin’s previous albums. I personally think it’s fantastic 👌👌👏👏👏

This album does not get near enough love. Yes, the synthesizers are a bit heavy, but Page delivers some phenomenal guitar work.

This album seems to foreshadow Plant's first solo efforts. I've heard people claim it's the weakest of their albums, but I would give that distinction to Presence.

I think after y'all get through all the Zeppelin albums, DJ should be quizzed: play "Tall Cool One" for him and see how many of the sampled Zeppelin songs he can identify.

This time Jimmy used a Gizmotron on his guitar to create the droning sound instead of his violin bow. The "thunder-like" noises that happen twice in about the middle of the song is the amplified sound of Jimmy pulling hard on the strings while using a tremolo bar on a Fender Strat - one of the few times he used that model guitar. The lyrics are about the traps and pitfalls that can come along with the fame and fortune. Some say the lyrics are generally meant, some say they're about Jimmy specifically as his addictions worsened - maybe a bit of both - who knows?

Hey Henrietta, I’ve left a comment or two with you before. All with the same appreciation for your intimate knowledge of this band. As a teen in the early 70’s, they we’re so ubiquitous, that we all thought we knew them well. However, you’re the real deal. Always look forward the the info. Regards

Just over a year later, I found your channel. Wonderful to see the appreciation for the old style classics (Bach, Rossini, etc) but the Zeppelin. Way back in my misspent youth; when any new album came out, we would all meet at the home of the best stereo set up, close the windows and give the entire record a listen. Then we would discuss it while passing a number around. And listen again to specific cuts. If the album was good, we would all buy a copy and listen with the headphones on. Thank you for reminding me of this time. And the stroll down memory lane. 😊
