I remember & appreciate this scene.

Ling was such a good person. Ruyi and Ling had a wonderful friendship. The Emperor takes all of his frustration and insecurities out on Ruyi throughout this show. At times, it was heartbreaking to watch.

Ah how insecure. Emperor felt inferior to a guard because he knows how he treated his wife. And he knows that guard is a better man. How can someone claimed love if there are no trust. Throughout the entire series, emperor never once fought for ruyi the way he fight for consort rong. Disgusting...

Consort Ling is slick and knows how to play the games of the inner palace, but against Ruyi who, doesn't indulge in all the scheming, but is a boss at investigating and deduction out classed Consort Ling on every level. If it wasn't for the Emperor being such a waste of space, Consort Ling would have gone down in flames long ago.

The only man who ever hugged that poor boy is probably Ling Yunche, and not his own father

小小年紀就被宮鬥傷了心，可憐。

卫嬿婉已经好几次对如懿不敬，第一是因为凌云彻，第二是为了皇上。她在背后害如懿的母亲，连她母亲也敢陷害，真是渔翁得利。

Not yet, Jinzhong is killed after she became the Imperial Noble Consort, after Empress cut her hair in front of emperor. For the reason, I think she always dislikes him, just need him as a spy then throws him away once she got what she wants

I can see why. Both Ruyi and Ling has a sibling love for one another. Not a lovers love. As for Wei Yang (probably misspelled her name a bit) if she didn’t become a consort, she would have ended up with Ling instead. That’s what happen when you marry into life in the harem as consort. But yeah, if Wei and Ling actually gotten married, things wouldn’t be worse for as it is for all of them. And you can see why the 12th Prince miss the way things were before. Sadly, things happen out of desperation.
