Same! Not spammy in the slightest, and always full of diverse ideas. There are always a handful of things I enjoy.
Your channel not only inspired me to get into the OSR -- it inspired me to start my own channel, too. Keep doing what you do, man! We appreciate it! - \[T]/
Thank you for this. I always skim through your newsletter each month, but getting a brief highlight helps so much. If you kept doing this each month I would be grateful.
I thought this format was really cool, thanks. I get the newsletter but having a verbal overview and peek at the topics helped a lot.
I dig it. I don't always have time to read the newsletter so this is helpful
Appreciate the work you do trying to capture all of the stuff out there! The Glatisant newsletter is pretty dope.
Was just thinking while reading the last Glatisant newsletter that you should be making videos of these.
This is awesome, should be a monthly feature!
I think an OSR News brief would be cool and your just the guy to pull it off.
Your newsletter is always a highlight of the month. I'd be very keen for more delving episodes like this one!
Having this as a digest then being able to source the newsletter when I have time to read is awesome! Pretty much I'll read through the newsletter and most of the articles anyway, but having a video like this to highlight the points makes my plan of attack so much more efficient. And it keeps with the OSR style in that you're telegraphing the important bits :D
The OSR world is big and I’m new to it, so the newsletter and this video are really great starting points! Thank you!
Loved this video, make more of them.
The Unexpected Desirable Outcome short story description in the video sounds a lot like the plot of the book Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir - I will definitely be reading up the Coins and Scrolls blog for it. And yes, Ben, do more of these!
I just started getting your newsletter. I don't always have time to read it properly, but getting a brief highlight helps so much. It would be much appreciated if you continued this. Thanks for your work.
Love this style of video. Your newsletter is great. I had read this issue but missed so much cool. Looking forward to going back and checking it out. Thanks.
This is a very useful video. Definitely make this a regular thing.
Great video, very useful indeed! Thank you!
very helpful format, ty!
Cool video! Please make more on this.
Your newsletter is great, and I really appreciate it!
I like these reviews of games and dungeons! Keep them coming!
Loved the style of this video! I already get the Glatisant (subscribed!) but there's something more engaging about you elevating certain links in video form. Would definitely watch more like it, knowing I have the links in my inbox to check out in more depth later.
I loved this. I would watch this series for SURE.
The Glatisant is the ONLY email newsletter I subscribe to, and one I always check through every time.
I quite enjoyed this video. Would love to see more like it. Also will subscribe to the newsletter
To answer your question, it's a useful vidéo because I now look forward to getting your newsletter.
Great video! I like this kind of video a lot.
Definitely liked this kind of summary. Thanks
Very neat video! Thanks! :)
One of the things I liked about that Goblin Punch article was his discussion about monsters wanting monstrous things. Sure, you got a good reaction roll and the orcs are ally with you...if you donate an ear to complete the leader's necklace of human ears, or if you offer up one of your retainers as a slave.

That’s interesting. What does it actually mean if the troll is “friendly” to the PCs?
As someone just starting their exploration of the OSR this video is very helpful. I subscribed to the Glatisant and skimmed this months issue, but especially as someone who doesn't know where to start this video is helpful in making that information easily digestible

If you want to get into OSR you should read some old forums like Dragonsfoot and maybe some select OSR blogs like Delta's D&D Hotspot or Bag of Holding. Questing Beast and the people he promotes are mostly just NuSR grifters who create heavily style over substance microgames and then market them as old school.
This was really useful!
I look forward to reading the Glatisant every month
Blogs are great, but don’t forget all the excellent podcasts. OSR goodness to enjoy during your commute or other mundane household drudgery. You can read while you’re cleaning the bathroom or cooking. 😉

@@directsun I like most of these. How do you survive Wobblies and Wizards though? The guys voice and laugh are so grating it’s like nails on a chalkboard to me and the guy laughs for no reason whatsoever too. Ugh! The content is fine but I can’t enjoy that podcast.
As someone who doesn't "blogoshphere," I appreciate this look at what's new to tell me what I probably haven't seen or heard of yet. I also enjoy your newsletter, when I remember to look for it in my email.
Yes and more, please!
The Glatisant is fantastic. I don’t have any desire to trawl through all this myself so having this curated for me is a big service.
Totally useful. Something like this once a month would be awesome!
I recently got one on itch called Dry World. It was pretty badass
That was really useful
Hey dude your news letter is FIRE . I signed up and will hover for a while but currently plan on supporting.🔥
Super useful for the full-time gm
You're doing the lord's work Questing Beast.
love reviews and wish for more :)
What an amazing looking screen behind you there... if that's what that is. Please explain... and if it's something to purchase, please provide a link if you would, Ben! 🤓
+1 for OSR wrap-ups.
Honey wake up new questing beast vid just dropped
This video was _really_ good 👍
More of this!!
Which blogs or websites are good places to throw around ideas for homebrew rules & new rpgs?
More episodes like this!
i like it, plz make more
more!
The Glatisant is the only newsletter i keep, but i maybe go through 75% of it, as i prefer to have my infotainment in audioform, so a recap and maybe elaboration of some of the content is great! In an alternate timeline, my tyrant self would force Ben to retroactively go through every Glatisant newsletter in this format, or maybe a “best of”?. I provise to join Patreon when i start making adult-money, to make that happen
If you liked Unexpected Desirable Outcome, I would strongly recommend Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir (author of The Martian, adapted to cinema by Ridley Scott).

This is funny. The OSR discussions mentioned are often 5e-ing the OSR. Folks are building more rules and ways of standardizing certain situations.
Read wolves upon the coast
I thought this was cool Edit and I get the news Letter
Those stances were not well thought out, the Alert is too good, it's the only one players will take, but the idea is creative.
I really disagree with the idea of blogs being the center of the OSR. I think that sentiment has caused a pretty stark notice of a lot of OSR discussion being tied to just reading rules and not actually playing. The core of the OSR community is the myriad hundreds of tables that actually play the game not a collection of bloggers and KZreadrs with maybe a few dozen readers. And I like the blogs I regularly read a few of them but they are just discussion not the actual game.

@@Minodrec it's only an echo chamber of people are repeating... OSR blogosphere is like dj duel, competitive remixing. Although, yeah, tables are the beating heart of OSR, the blogosphere is it's dreaming mind
