What's up with Laguna that they mix their clay so hard? It's so unpleasant to use right out of the bag. Fortunately, adding slip makes it throw better anyway.

Part of the problem is how long clay can sit at a suppliers before it gets used. Try looking at the manufacturing date on the box and pick the newest 😊🦊

I pick up my clay as soon as she gets it in. She has one customer she special orders a softer mix for....I guess I'm going to have to do that, too. Thanks for taking the time to reply. BTW... I've been throwing for 50 years.
