Great roll! Tasteful use of the tremolos too, Cook was usually pretty good about that, though I do have a roll he recorded that *every single chord in it is a marimba one*. It's horrendous xD And I think it's the only Cook roll I've heard that is unlistenable. I have to post it for the laughs!

Such a fun song! Thanks so much for sharing! Btw, a funny thing I noticed...the lyrics start off out of sync with the music and very gradually get in sync. I wonder what caused this at the factory?

I've got so many rolls with lyrics defects. I think some of the time it was stencils being made too long for the roll or slipping during the printing process (or not being aligned from the start and being off sync for the whole roll). QRS now has a big carriage printer that doesn't have the limitations of the big messy stenciler.

I've heard there's an actual mountain out west somewhere that's referred to as "the big rock candy mountain"

There certainly is! I've been to it several times in my life. It's in Piaute County, Utah. State Park. It was named this due to the popularity of this song and its appearance of the mountain the song describes. Thanks for making mention of that!
