My mum always wore Avon Occur (sadly discontinued years ago) I have a couple of bottles half used which I will keep forever, the smell reminds me of my mum and being little, I am 56 now and mum passed away 5 years ago , the smell brings back so many happy memories. I'm with Lea about fragrance. When my older son was born prematurely and was in the NICU, I always wore Joy (by Patou, not Dior) so he might recognize me as soon as I came near even if his eyes were closed. He's perfectly healthy, thank goodness. My younger son was wearing men's fragrance at the age of 11! I love these videos, not just because I like to see what other women carry with them, but because the women you profile are so natural. They dress well, but effortlessly, including the bags they choose.

When I smell Shalimar, I instantly think of all the women in my family. They all wore it and nothing else. Grandma, aunts, cousins!!

Mumbai India - our needs are very different to say the least. I always have in my rather large bag - cool water in a thermo controlled waterbottle because it can get really hot in here. Sunglasses. lipstick, lip balm, sunscreen, perfume, face mirror. Feminine hygiene products. Pee safe - disinfectant for spraying the toilet seat before using public or restaurant toilets. Face tissues. wallet & credit card holders. Keys (it seems Parisians don't lock their doors or their wardrobes). Pen. Books (always plural because I get easily bored with only one). packed lunch (not always only when I am out for the whole day). Notebook. 😂 No....I am not going on vacation. Just out for the day.

Which one ? The last girl carries a small bag and none of what they carry is heavy. We all do the same here in France small, medium or big bags. The first one is big but the bag itself in hay is really lightweight. I own a small bag and put the same amount as Lea and your back doesn’t hurt at all. It’s not scripted because I am French and we all carry pretty much the same items : wallet, make up, sunglasses, notebook\book, phone and keys. Scarf and gloves during Fall and winter. And they all fit in the same bag as Léa’s. It’s really common here. What scares me is another YT channel where movie stars show what’s inside their bags and they carry huge bottle of Chanel’s perfume 😂

how do them little pouches they carry around stay closed in the bags? i find that whenever i want to carry something in a little canvas pouch the drawstrings always loosen up and stuff falls out. i always have to put string stoppers on my frequently used pouches and it does help a lot but i have never seen anyone else have this problem

I think it depends on the fabric of the bag and the drawstring and how the drawstring is gathered. I've never had a problem with organza bags with ribbon drawstrings

I bought a replica of a Chanel brooch for $20 to compare materials etc. The real brooch cost $800 and was made of the exact same materials - brass, synthetic pearls, glass. 🤦🏻♀ The other one is a $40 one *yutulux* Backpack Replica - also works for Compare - I can't find any difference and still use it for the gym 😅 yt

Ines de la Fressange best epitomizes the style of thé parisienne and bécote that Coco Chanel. And a style is constructed not only on the way you dress but the ties you have to that way of dressing, the history, the culture, the language. And I’m glad you’re French living in New York. But you’re not a New Yorker. Not unless you’ve spent your entire life there.

To me a Parisian is usually someone who is French from Paris or has lived in Paris for years and has adopted the French style which goes beyond living in the city.
