I made a trip up to north Alabama to chase down a species of Redeye Bass native to the Black Warrior River drainage, the Warrior Bass. Fishing was tricky as the water was low and crystal clear, it was like fishing in an aquarium. The bass were more aggressive than spooky however, and many were landed. It was an honor to meet and interact with such a beautiful creature. Fly fishing has taken me to some great places, and this was definitely one of them
