In Search of Mississippi River Backwater Panfish | Fishing New Areas for Ice Fishing Success

I'm out searching the Mississippi River backwaters for a hot panfish bite. I stay mobile and keep moving to put multiple fish species topside.

I'm getting pretty sick of the wind while ice fishing. I prefer to run and gun, hole hop, but it's next to impossible with super cold temps and big wind

Mr. X, I love your videos, keep them coming! I was wondering if you had a video regarding the pros and cons of inline reels vs spinning reels for ice fishing? Also, I was wondering if you had been down to the Lansing area backwaters yet this year? I was looking to head towards DeSoto area next weekend and was wondering if you heard anything. Anyway, great video and keep up the good work! Looking forward to the spring walleye bite👍

Thank you! I think the big advantage of inline reels is that they tend to keep your line straight vs a spinning reel. I like the inline reels for very light jigs and finesse fishing but like spinning reels for jigging spoons and larger jigs. I have not been down to pool 9 ice fishing…maybe soon.

@@AnglerX ah I see. I've never seen such a motor like that before. Everyone around here uses atvs, snowmobiles, or just drives out.
