I am from Brazil and live in a big metropolitan area in a middle to upper middle class neighborhood. Even the most expensive supermarkets here, that cater for high income clientele don't have half the variety of products I saw in this video. The tomatoes look gorgeous, the plums, peaches, beautiful. This dairy section looks wonderful, and so so many beers. Yeah, I think I could live in Russia. На здоровье! От бразильских друзей.

The funniest thing that there are other huge supermarkets like Auchan (Ашан), Магнит, Spar, Ярче!, Перекрёсток, Пятёрочка, and much more lesser ones. Each and every one of them have slightly different variety of products. Like, 80% are common products and 20% are exclusive. And exclusive ones are not only the cheapest, but also products of higher quality, which are produced in small quantities. Most of them are costy, but the taste usually worth it! So, if you are gourmand, you would visit like 5 to 20 different shops to find each and every ingredient of your taste. It sometime becomes troublesome, when you can't find something in nearest shop and have to go to the next one. Which is usually 300-1000 meters away from you. Oh, and don't forget to meet your babushka (grandma or simply old lady) in local bazar, they have the most tasty raw vegetables and fruts! And berries! No one beats them! No one would even dare! Anyway, I wish you to have the only problem with food - to select the ones of your taste. De nada! Dos Amigos Russos!

Notice, it's priced per Kilogram. In the USA is priced per Pound. 2.2 Pound = 1 Kg. So the price he says in KG, you divide it by 2.2 to get the price in the USA. If he said it's 80 cents per kilogram = 36 cents per pound. When you compare the price with what you can buy in the USA, the price in the USA is ways higher. Avg earning per year for Russia is $25,000 vs that of the US $47,000 It looks like it's a higher standard of living in Russia.

Thank you, Sergej! When everything started, we were worried we would need to find a way to ship things to my family in Russia. They've been telling us exactly what you've been showing - at first some items disappeared, but local brands or brands from OTHER countries quickly filled in the gaps. Glad to see the stores so amazingly full (growing up in Soviet days, I can't even imagine having seen such VAST, AMAZING bounty in the Gastronoms LOL! I probably would've fainted LOL). If anything - we're having major issues here with the supply chain, so your shelves are better stocked than most stores around here in the USA (and our prices are going up weekly, the "8.3% inflation" our government says is all there is doesn't exist in reality - more like 10% a WEEK). The way the shortages are, and the way our government blatantly lies to us, I'm feeling like I'm back home in 1960s/70s USSR LOL Stay safe and be well, Serjozhek.

If people would apply basic logic, they would understand that the sanction against russia are supported by 40 countries and 170+ countries don´t support them. Of the 40 countries that support it there are 3! countries that are rich in resources: the US, Canada and Australia all other countries in the west (and Japan and Korea) are heavily dependent on the imports of raw resources, energy and food. This is a long game and I wouldn´t bet on the West if you gave me 1:10 odds.

As for chicken, I've paid $1.99 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, which has gone up to $2.79 in the last month. Most items have increased in price, which is bull shit! The Corporations are just squeezing us with higher prices, using the Ukraine war as the cause, but it is just Corporate Greed that rules the US. 66 757 рублей in march , teacher salary - depens on regions, in villages they get a house as an additio to a contract. It daoes not make sense to convert salary to dollars, because we have free healthcare, free education, gas, elecrtycity , internet , transport are extremly cheap

@@samuelweir5985 I just checked, the avaredge salary is 66 757 rouble per month. I found stat for March.2022 Household - it is when husband and wife work together? right? exchange rate is 60,26 rpuble per dollar, 2 days ago it was 59... dont count in dollars please, it does not mean anything in Russia. We dont use it. Most people go abroud to Turkey or Egipt and pay there in roubles too.

The sanctions possibly, is not the issue as is the unemployment because of so many corporations as Seimens and IKEA and Samsung, apple have left Russia. That has effected many other industries. There is less money to buy items a family needs. But other industries too. Energy companies with loss of technologies like Seimens, General Electric. Many people are looking for employment I would assume, Sergei. Can Russia rebound from such a deficit? What about automobile industry, they have all left. What about science research and space industry?

IKEA factories continue making the furniture and selling it on Wildberries. Not sure what is about space industry. Russia was self-sufficient in space yet in 1950’s, when at first in 1957 sent the first satellite into the space and then in 1961 sent Gagarin into the space.

It needs to ignore the west and build its partnerships with India, China and other countries away from the corrupt governments of the west. The west never wanted partners in Russia or China. The US or west, only wants vassal states subject to US or western corruption and policies. Glory to Russia,

There is alot of talk about left or right in politics. About right/center or left/center leaning or far left or far right. BUT. Those are empty conceptions. Just as democracy, free speech, free massmedia, world order, capitalism, socialism, Communism and such. Fill those conceptions with substance please. With something usefull. Is there mouth diarré of the common liberal type or something related to the real world. If a statebuilding has control over it's resources? If a statebuilding is self-sufficent? What is that? Left, right, up or down? I will tell you KAMRATER, the choices is idiocracy, mediocracy or meritocracy. And the only sign of democracy is If members of a society is happy with there goverment. To be pushed around as voting cattle now and then is blaha, blaha.
