In over our heads?! We took STOCK Jeeps down a 7 rated trail in Moab | 2 door JL & EcoDiesel JLU

While on our overland 4x4 adventure from Colorado to Moab we took Rose Garden Hill to Onion Creek to 128. We took a stock Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon Diesel down Rose Garden Hill. We also had a 2 door JL Rubicon on 35 inch KO2s with stock suspension, and a JKUR lifted on 35 inch KM3s.

The confidence a stock Rubicon can give a complete noob is hilarious.

Nice! I was in the area about 1-1/2 months ago for 3 days of easy wheeling with my new '24 Colorado ZR2 (700miles on the clock). I'm a total noob, so, I definitely wouldn't have wanted to take that route! In fact, I may never want to do anything that difficult, I think I'm more of an overlanding guy. I went thru Onion Creek and continued up hideout Canyon to the top, and that was sketchy enough for me! The ZR2 did everything like it was nothing, I'm just happy I didn't do anything stupid, especially since I always go out solo. Nice vid!

Well your buddy is definitely never wheeling again lol. If he does, make sure to record it again! First damage is the worst, after that it’s not so bad.

Lol 😂 I think he was ok with it by the end of the trip. Once he gets it lifted and bigger tires on there he should be more confident. Scraping every 20 yards can be fatiguing.

I've taken a few first timers out, my fins and things video took my friend in his sequoia out. He was in tears by the end after scraping the steel bumpers. He almost had my fiance drive his truck down some of the obstacles lol!

We ran Rose Garden Hill last week. It has changed a lot!! They bypass at 7:08 is not a viable line anymore, though we did have a friend take it and almost roll. All of the loose dirt has washed away. it is solid rock all the way through the steps on RGH. Drops have gotten deeper. Ledges are more pronounced. Great vid!

Rubicons JLs are crazy capable right off the showroom floor. I don’t like taking such an expensive machine anywhere too crazy, so I went with the Sahara for a bit more luxury for the daily driver. Awesome video!

In northern michigan where I live there are really no rocks just rolling sand dunes and muddy forests. Stock suspension with a set of 285's is all you need. I am considering some spacers, though.

@@SeekTheOpen Hells is a ton of fun. The others are not as hard but more scenic. You definitely want to do them. You can go UP Shafer and Down Long Canyon, or vice versa. Chicken Corners is a must do epic and highly scenic trail in Moab. On the way to Hurrah Pass (halfway) I recommend you do NOT go left into Kane Creek. I did once and completed it but man it was rough and got rougher. I made it all the way out to the county road. Once was enough! Almost had to spend the night there. I've been 6 times. Sounds like you got bit by the MOAB BUG! Good for you. Have you discovered Giliberto's Mexican joint yet? That place is addictive as well. The food trucks near Jailhouse Cafe are great too. I was suppose to be there now but the weather did not cooperate. Told my friend to book the VRBO for April but he gambled with March weather. I was going to drive cross country so I could bring my dog but not when there is snow in many states along the way and 29F in Moab. I was going to camp a few nights first.
