Amarillo country is in the middle of a bad drought, which threatens the livestock and the cattle industry itself. Crooks have plans to take advantage of the bad time and cheat the ranchers. Roy is working for cattle baron George Hills (Pierre Watkin), who wants the drought investigated. Roy also has to deal with Hill's ill-behaved son, who falls under the crooks influence. With Penny Edwards as the graddaughter of ranch owner, Elizabeth Risdon, Roy has time to fall in love as well as settle the ranchers problem!
