@@thedefinitionisthis SNL cast in the 90's was like family. I felt welcome every Saturday night. Phil's "Colon Blow" commercial killed me every time it was aired! The Bears sketch with Farley having a heart attack was awesome and funny for the 13 year old me lol From the Farley/Dana/Phil Hartman era until the cast that had Ferrell, Cheri Oteri, Molly Shannon, Tim Meadows SNL was like your buddy on a sometimes boring, lonely Saturday night just shooting the breeze and laughing...

That scene with Hartman and Farley together saying goodbye is so poignant. In just a few years, both of them would be gone.

Bill Murray did a great job with the intro. Very classy!! You could tell it was very hard for him.
When I saw John Lovitz name come up I was like WTF when hell no.........then I see John Lovitz sitting in the audience 🙈😂
The fact that they ended this with a running joke from season 1 is perfect.
I love the fact that everyone felt (except for Andy Kaufmann, John Belushi and Legend Chris Farley) equally applaued. Even people who were never there on stage. It feels nice. These people are part of this beautiful disfunctional Saturday Night Live Family. #Ripjonlovitz
I'm surprised and glad this wasn't just the big stars, but pretty much everybody involved.
They’re all just living in a van down by the river
That last one...omg 😂 I was like when did he....? Lol!
Oh Phil :'( Genius actor :) You are missed
Jan Hooks was a stunning woman, and so talented. Incredibly underrated. My 80s crush.
Rest in peace Jon Lovitz. ^_^
Gilda!

Considering how many people have worked on this show in the past 40 years, very few have died which is a great thing.

They need to end the savage practice of applauding because it just gets mean. Some stage hand gets a few applause and then a cast member gets a huge ovation... It just seems mean to me.
@tmlfan1977
6 жыл бұрын
I totally agree. What they should've done was remain silent throughout the presentation, then applaud at the very end. Otherwise, it just seems as though those behind the scenes didn't deserve the same acknowledgement as those who stood in front of the camera. They're still people after all, and in my opinion one is no more or less important than the next. The varying levels of applause based on who they were left a bad taste in my mouth as well.....
