Unforgettable Lady of the Camelias, fascinating Queen Christina, tragic and lyrical Anna Karenina, sensuous Felicitas in "flesh and the Devil", reckless, brave and modern in "Woman of Afffairs", there will never be another Garbo. She gave evrything to the screen and kept her private life for herself. No compromises. She was and remains the Divine.

I very recently became so interested in Garbo. Shes one of a kind. Cannot be duplicated. So so beautiful mysterious and I think thats why she intrigues me.

Of course, no other actress today can even remotely be compared to the Divine. A different era in a way, but also above all Garbo was unique. The greatest.

The pic at :56 looks like her older sister Alva, who died at the young age of around 22 or 23. Greta never got over her death and never even got to grieve for her, as she was in America making a film and could not go home to Sweden when she died. I could be wrong, but it does look more like her sister.

To me it looks like Garbo went throught lots of plastic surgery to achieve that Hollywood glamorous look. I also enjoy seeing the everyday images of Garbo walking along the sidewalks of New York City browsing through this and that. I would be interested in knowing what Garbo's voice sounded like. Has anyyone heard Garbo's voice when she lived New York City?

She never had any plastic surgery. She had a wonderful voice, very expressive. I knew GG in Klosters, Switzerland 1972-1977. We walked together every day day she was there. A delightful person.
