In Living Color - Heavy D & The Boyz Ft 2pac - Live Performance
Ойын-сауық
2pac is in the blue cap with the black sweatshirt. Tupac had gone solo and had 1 or 2? albums out by this time, however this was before he became a worldwide phenomenon. You'll also see Puff Daddy in the background, who was managing Jodeci, Heavy D and other Uptown Records artists before CEO Andre Harell gave him the boot.

I miss early pac everybody glorifies his deathrow run
what people don't know is Biggie Smallz was signed to Uptown... this is the era where Pac said ''you used to sleep on my couch''. They was all friends, but Big was Puffs guy, he had the single PARTY & BULLSHIT, the remix with Mary J, the song with Super Cat.. so don't be surprised to see Pac and Puff having fun together... this was the good times lol

Nothing to do with rap, but in his own field (comedy and acting), Jim Carrey is a huge icon in his own right. Although, just in general, you wouldn't think you would ever see Tupac and Jim Carrey (two icons from completely different worlds of entertainment) on the same stage together. I think that's what mox95 was alluding to.

Back to beautiful memories
I MISS THE UNITY THOSE 90'S & 80'S ERA HEAVY D A LEGEND BUSINESSMAN ICON
classic hip hop moments never die
Man I just got extra excited checking this out!!! R.I.P. Heavy and Tupac!!!!
Tupac was definitely a HYPE man for Heavy D in this video, just like he was for Digital Underground prior to this. Pac didn't become mainstream until at least 1993 when he did Poetic Justice and dropped crossover hits like 'Dear Mama' and 'I Get Around.' You can see at the end, that this performance was from 1992. Pac probably saw this as an opportunity to be seen on a popular TV show and Heavy D let him perform with him even though Pac wasn't on this song.

@juliennavis3370 I forgot I commented on this video (12 YEARS AGO!! lol) until I got a notification that you responded. I had to jog my memory about why I commented and it came back to me...a number of people commenting on this video (at the time) couldn't understand/believe that Tupac was probably the least known person on the stage. So I pointed out that Tupac was still somewhat unknown when this episode of In Living Color aired (early 1992??) and being on a popular show like In Living Color was an opportunity for him to be scene. Rosie Perez even introduced Pac as "Tupac from the movie Juice." Nowadays, when most people see a video of Tupac, they assume he was already the big star he eventually became.
Man heavy d went ham!!!!!
The end credits roll is what did it for me...hella nostalgic...if you were a kid in the 90s, tv was everything!
Heavy D(Rip) ..Tupac(Rip) ... Flavor Flav, Puffy... & the untouchable Eddie F
I'm hyped about Heavy's performance! Awesome and Clean, as Always! He and his crew were so uplifting and talented. I loved them! RIP Heavy D and all the great hip hop rappers and icons who are no longer with us.Your work and spirit lives on!
Back when hip hop was tru hip hop!!!
Crazy how 2 Pac and Puffy together on the Living Color set rockin with Heavy D. Way before they were in their prime in the music business and before Bad Boy and Death Row beef..90s golden era.
Got damn TV has changed. Shit use to be grimy and gritty. Now shit is just watered down and people are too fucking sensitive.
Classic 💯damn I miss tha 90s real rap music damn
Wow...So much talent in one room!
R.I.P. 2 Tupac & Heavy D and to all the ones we loss in real hip hop.
it feels so surreal seeing pac and puffy together before all the madness (mostly caused by U.S intelligence) occurred. The good times. Big up Heavy D too.

Da good ole dayz
Love the Cross Colors outfit Heavy has on...I used to have a few shirts and hats ...I was about 15 then
What some of yall dont know is that in the early 90s hiphop was more unified it wasnt completely controlled by gatekeepers, everybody was grinding back then putting work in.
RIP PAC & HEAVY D
Flav's Hat is straight Fire!!!!

those were the days... i couldn't see this back than because it didn't air in europe (at least not where i live) . i did watch yo mtv raps with dr dre and ed lover every saturday
Cant fade this here!!!!!! God bless Heavy D💪💪💪
@tzamora09 Thanks for the feedback. I don't think there's anything wrong with mentioning 2pac's name at the forefront along with Heavy D though. I make no shame of the fact that I am highlighting 2pac's name in this video! :-) I'm not misleading anyone, it is Heavy D and the Boyz ft 2pac. Misleading is when you see a video highlighted such as "The greatest football touchdown ever" and when you click on it, you get some soft porn or Rick Astley. Now THAT's misleading :P
Puffy and Biggie stole his flow and style
watchin cable tv i just found about the loss of heavyD ,,,bummer i liked his sound alot! dang
This is my favorite memory of Heavy-D RIP
The ending is so damn hyped, I love it!!!
Miss these days of hiphop. Ain't no way in 2021 you have brothers doing live performances hide behind the prsenter and spring up when their song is announced😂. Imagine Takeshi.. 🤣🤣But seriously Big Heav RIP. One of the greats!!
dude heavy D, tupac, flava flav and the ILC cast that most would soon become house hold names, what a treat it would've been too be in that room let alone that stage. Im watching it through a screen and can barely contain myself! I wonder if anybody in the audience took in just exactly what they were looking at it.
i seen this the other night on tv and i was soooo shocked puffy & tupac was in the background doing the pump up dance in the left corner of the screen
All you CAN do to this song with walk with your knees going up to your chest. What a COLLABO!
So many stars. We know the Wayan Brothers, Jamie Foxx, & other actors, but then there's Rosie Perez, J-Lo, Flava, 2Pac, & Diddy on stage. Pac & Diddy fall out thru muzik controversy, Diddy & J-Lo go in & out of a relationship, J-Lo gets mad at Jamie Foxx for jokin' about her singing, Tommy Davidson & Jamie Foox does "Booty Call" together, Damon Wayan makes fun of rappers in "My Wife & Kids", etc. Times went by so fast.
yea he is there
R.I.P. to Heavy D & Tupac forever!
Who is bumping this heat in 2020?
dope song
R.I.P Soul brotha. Much love, Heavy!
IN LIVING COLOR best show ever
Lisa Marie Todd, so BEAUTIFUL!!!
a classic for real
