Am I the only who’s surprised by how accurate this movie is to highschool cheer? I know cheer rivalries don’t exist but if you excluded that everything else is spot on! For example they are actually wearing proper uniforms! They aren’t cropped or super short, the shell covers the torso completely and they are even wearing their liner which is what you’re supposed to wear to cheer competitions! Even when they are clapping back at eachother with motions they don’t swear or anything which makes sense cause they are highschool! Also their uniforms are from Varisty which is usually where every highschool team buys theirs

I think it’s a good way to show the viewer that the main character’s entire life revolves around cheer

I really don't get why it has so many negative reviews, it's not only pure eye candy but it also has a super positive and cheerful overall feel to it, a well written story with a good character development and an unexpected twist with a symbolic meaning that sends a positive message. And on top of that, the nostalgia effect of the 2000's when movies were meant to be fun to watch and not to promote and agenda. It would be a perfect movie if it wasn't for the mandatory angry and masculine black girl (there were two of them actually) but that most of Hollywood sadly.

The whole Bring It On series of movies has a very racial tone to it. Blacks & Ethnics VS Whites. From some of the insults to the way they treat eachother. This is the shittest one out of the lot of them though.
