Cruis'n Media regrets to share the news of Ed Reavie's passing. Cruis'n contributor Top Hat John passed along the message below. Cruis'n Media had the opportunity to speak with Mr. Reavie in 2021 in St. Ignace. In honor of his legacy, we are sharing that conversation in its entirety. Our condolences to his family, many friends, and his beloved community in St. Ignace.
Ed Reavie of St. Ignace, Michigan, who was the founder of ST. IGNACE CAR SHOWS and President of NOSTALGIA PRODUCTIONS, passed away today after suffering a massive stroke last week. The shows had been purchased by the ST. IGANACE VISITORS BUREAU about six years ago when Mr. Reavie retired. NOSTALGIA PRODUCTIONS is owned by Mr. Reavie's son Sean Reavie, who recently wrote the book "REBEL WITHOUT A CLUE" covering his fathers life from grocery store clerk to VP of a St. Ignace Bank, to putting the only city in Michigan without a stoplight on a national and international spotlight for car shows! When released mid year 2022 by AMAZON, "REBEL WITHOUT A CLUE" reached a #1 BEST SELLER position the first week. Mr. Reavie is survived by his son Sean Reavie of Phoenix, AZ and daughter Danielle Sawyers of Sault St. Marie, MI.
Mr. Reavie lived his full life in the Upper Penninsula of Michigan from birth through his retirement years-this year celebrates the 48th Annual St. Ignace Car Show.
