Theyre not really dinosaurs,they are mutated frogs/reptiles with dinosaur dna in it,no wonder why velociraptors lack feathers and are very big

It's not that underrated, most of them are just poorly executed.

This is what Jurassic park was originally centered around, simple sci-fi horror, and you have succeeded on showcasing that kinda energy. Keep up the great work!

Well Crichton wanted it to not be horror,but his investors forced him on the books then he became friends with Spielberg and so the movie is actually closer to what Crichton wanted for his own creation- action/adventure story to showcase the awe of dinosaurs with small sci-fi horror elements is how it actually is supposed to be.

If only Jurrasic World could have gone in this direction deep into the horror, suspense and sci-fi. As well respecting its theme and source material. Then it would one of the greatest franchises ever created.

James Cameron was going to make Jurassic Park before Speilberg and he was going to stay true to the book source. Crichton always had Speilberg in mind for the movie adaptation though.

I absolutely LOVE THIS. Jurassic Park + Horror is the only thing I've wanted in life. I've always wanted the terrifying nature of Dinosaurs shown as how they were in the Novels. They might be "monsters" but they're also living creatures. You have earned a Subscriber.

Agreed. There’s just something about it that’s so horrifying. These aren’t made up movie monsters, they’re based on actual animals and this and just the general playing god concept makes it all the creepier.

This is very accurate to what the books would portray aesthetically. Corporate coverups, the death of people too ignorant to understand what was being done at isla nublar and isla sorna, and the horror of the natural world. This edit is well made, even if I do recognize where some of the images originate. I like the idea of dinosaurs being a horror element, and it is portrayed relatively well here. It would be interesting to see what you can do with more assets and time.

You hit the nail on the head except for the natural world. The dinosaurs were portrayed to be the exact opposite imo, almost alien like in nature due to extensive genetic modification. The dinosaurs were anything but natural.

@@cuhgaming4943 of course! I did read the books. To clarify I meant that these animals are animals, and hunt/ eat/ think like any other animal. I'd be nervous if a lion eyed me for lunch, that's its own horror.

Okay so I love this, however I have some constructive criticisms: the most successful part of this are the parts that rely on the creepy 80s instructional video style footage created by ingen, and the moment where the camera just focuses on the broken fencing. The least successful bits are the parts relying on actively showing the dinosaurs in footage with jumpscare like qualities. The t rex one specifically made me laugh, I didnt want it to, but it did. I think your use of the dread and anticipation are scarier than the footage of the dinosaurs itself. As far as analog horror goes, this is a really cool and creative idea, and I like it a lot!!! I hope to see more from you in the future!

@@Rostiko have too agree with the original poster. Some good ideas here but the dinosaurs look goofy and the jumpscare noise is annoying. Too many jumpscare and poorly presented jumpscare tank a horror piece so for example instead of the first jumpscare you should have gone straight to the broken fence and just had some soft raptor purring noises, under the alarm noise, to build tension.

The Trex escape unlocked some memories of Dino crisis and the Jurassic Park River adventure. Just something about being stuck inside a warehouse or power plant of some kind with it is scary as hell. Damn I was terrified of the River adventure ride when I was little

Funny you mention the ride because back then they released a flash game of the ride where you’re supposed to be an employee trying to escape. That Trex jumpscare is what you see if you walked into a room with the Rex in it and didn’t leave in time

This is superb and I sincerely mean that. I was never got scared watching the movies (Except for the original when I watched it the first time, but even then it wasn't that bad and I was like 7). I think what people forget sometimes is that this whole franchise was based off of a horror book, so that fact you can take this and actually make the person (me specifically) watching be filled with dread and fear is truly awesome!

Tbh this would actually on par with the book. Put in some Spanish cuz it takes place around some Latin islands workers need to see what’s to come.

I love how the death scene at the end was a clip of gameplay from Raptors ( or at least I think so. That's what it looked like. ), that game deserves way more recognition! Awesome work!

I have to say that this made me feel like I was actually being attacked or maybe it’s my cat biting me

I hadn’t thought of it earlier, but the original Jurassic Park novel would make for a great analog horror series. InGen led by a more evil Hammond who covered “construction work” incidents before the main incident in 89’, much creepier dinos than the movie, the low-budget videos InGen would’ve made and their attempts at keeping it all a secret (despite dinosaurs having escaped the island even before the main incident).

The scariest things about dinosaurs is that they don’t fear people. We’re as alien to them as they’re alien to us. They’re not like a tiger or a bear who’ll have an inherent aversion to gun fire. Back in their day they would have been part of the natural world, but in the age of man… they’re monsters.

Imagine ur new job as security guard for this park and this all happens on ur first day on the job

Dinosaurs and Analog Horror, what an explosive mix that needs to be done. Im tired of entities, ghosts and intruders. Give the terrible lizards more love in analog horrors

Analog Horror, based on Dinosaurs and Jurassic Park? Ok ngl, love the idea. You got some good chops here, although the execution of certain scenes could be better. Not to mention the animation at the end is a little rough and the scream at the end, being reused from FNAF VHS, does kinda take me out of it a little. But everything else was pretty great. Would love to see more of this idea explored. It makes Dinosaurs feel a lot more intimidating, like they're some kind of demons from hell that we should've never reawokened or something. If you or anyone ese wants to explore this idea more, please feel free.

This the nightmares I used to have a kid after watching the movie but it was still my favorite movie growing up

Love the idea for these. I just found it a bit funny due to some factors within the video, such as a clip where you show dark hallway with the raptor in back suddenly appearing in front of the camera wouldve been more scary with it running towards the camera but great job none the less
