I watched the documentary last week only because he has been one of my favorite actors. I’m reading all the comments of love and support and the fact that this was a really good interview. She did it exactly the way it should be done. But I’m still having a hard time accepting that these men that seemed so vulnerable and so authentic and real and had the same sense of shame and embarrassment I’ve seen with women that have been through the same experiences that I’ve never seen before with men. I know they are raised not to cry or not to be emotional and I thought they were being very vulnerable and real. I love Kevin but I’m sorry I do believe the men in that documentary. I know I’m probably the only one that’s going to say this but I did not feel that they were lying. What would be the agenda of going up into the public forum and share their experiences?

Yes. It's mostly about money, though, no noble intentions. Corporations are afraid to lose money so they fire people and reshoot scenes in movies. They would even put a finished film on ice just because Spacey acted in it. That means the work of thousands of crew members was for nothing. I hope that the Gore Vidal biopic will be finally released.

Excellent interview by Allison Pearson. She asked very tough questions, not skirting around the issues. Kevin Spacey seemed to be very open and honest. I appreciate the fact that he wasn't evasive even on the most difficult questions. A good lesson in not judging someone until all the facts are on the table.

The downside to being one of the World's Best Actors is that we will never be able to know whether Kevin Spacey is being genuine or not. But he was acquitted on all charges. We need to accept the decisions of the trials and let the past go. It's time to move on and enjoy the work Kevin Spacey can produce.

He’s human. Let him stay human with his imperfections and his genius acting. Nobody is perfect.

Looking forward to seeing Kevin back in films and in theatre.

I’m so heartbroken to hear Kevin speak his truth but at the same time so proud of him in telling it so authentically and organically. He was really given the shaft by everyone. Everyone I know thinks he's one of the most lifted actors of our lifetime and it's an absolute tragedy to lose him in the cinematic universe. Just because a jury found him innocent, doesn't mean he didn't do anything wrong. It just means there was reasonable doubt. That is what lawyers do, create reasonable doubt. MANY men have come forward. They can't all be making false claims. There is too much smoke for there to be no fire. This interview just doesn't feel genuine. He's an Oscar winning actor after all which doesn't help his case in giving testimony that is believable. He could easily be putting on a performance to try and convince people he was the one who was wronged.

If this truly is not true and he is innocent, the thought that they can cause such character assassination is truly frightening.

The insidious thing is how hard it is to distinguish real victims from people without conscience, who unbelievably pretend to be victims. …. those do exist. They are just as bad as actual abusers, because they exploit in a secondary manner victims of abuse, adding insult to injury. It’s that normal people can’t wrap their mind around somebody lying like that, that keeps these other abusers safe, while we as onlookers are helpless to identify what has happened as we don’t have the full picture. The type of probing investigation that goes into the accuser's life is such that victims often drop the action because they cannot bear the intrusion. Victims often find that they feel that they are on trial, and given the low success rate of prosecuting SA successfully, they find that they have been re-traumatised by being questioned (usually in a hostile manner) over events that are really upsetting to recall.

Thoughtful, meaningful interview. Interviewer was compassionate but straightforward and skilled. Kevin was open, sincere and likable. Of course, I've always like him. He's a brilliant actor. But he's also a kind, gentle and funny man. I hope to see him doing what he loves and does better than most - acting. He is a prime example of a flawed human (aren't we all!) who more than deserves a bright new future.

I met Kevin once - at a SNL party after he had hosted the show. I was a fan, not an industry person at the time, and he patiently answered all my questions. He was a lovely guy, and I appreciated the time he gave me (right) in the middle of a storming party. Life is complicated.

I hate to see Kevin Spacey such a broken man. He is dealing with it trying to put on a brave face but he so wants to be back at work and us fans want to see him back where he belongs as he is such an amazing actor and I miss seeing him and his spell binding performances. He has been cleared he is innocent of the charges bought just let him breathe again

Well that’s why he’s expressing to the audience that he’s been working to become a better person and not do things like that anymore and he’s reached out to those he’s hurt and made uncomfortable. He’s apologized to people and has worked to become a better human being now that he sees the damage he’s caused some people the last 7 years. It’s crazy how no one wants to give him credit or some grace for that effort. I guess no one is allowed to learn from their mistakes anymore

I feel so sorry for him. Prejudgments can just ruin someone’s life when they are unjustified and I get so angry when I see people exactly doing this. This documentary is also so unnecessary. I really don’t know what these people are thinking when they come up with these nonsense accusations... But I find it very good that he is doing interviews in which he declares himself because there’s no other way than that and I am actually quite happy to see that many people are in fact on his side and „supporting“ him. I hope that these were the last accusations and that he will be really back into acting soon. Wish him all the best ❤️

I have worked in the UK theatre industry for 20 years. The amount of young men I've met who have Kevin Spacey stories is countless. A predator whatever the courts said.

This was a good interview. We all can learn and change from our mistakes. Kevin Spacey sounds sincere hurt, redemptive, and hopeful for the future. I'm praying for him. Seems like he's come over a few mountains like all of us in someway shape, form, or fashion.

Railroaded. I was one who believed Anthony Rapp, and was devastated because Kevin Spacey is my favorite actor. When he was vindicated I was relieved and excited for him. It also caused me to look internally before I rush to judgement. I sincerely hope we see him on the screen again soon. An exceptional talent that deserves redemption.

I’ve always liked Kevin. A great actor. And I believe he’s learned from his mistakes and should be allowed to work again. I also believe at least some of what his accusers have said as well. I think his was an extreme case of hubris and ego. But, again, I feel he’s learned and should be allowed to show his redemption. Nobody should be cancelled forever if they’ve learned their lessons. It’s just humane.

I do believe Kevin’s father did awful things to both his sons I’ve heard Mr Spacey acknowledge his “bad behavior” I feel like as a closeted famous man at the height of the me too movement there was nothing he could say or do to change anyone’s opinion as to what did or did not happen I find it very hard to believe all those men were frozen and didn’t stop him leave or never put themselves in his company again! I believe Netflix reacted to distance themselves from the accusations without an investigation so EVERYONE jumped on

We are of a similar age, so I hope he won't feel offended about that, though I still think he might need some ageing make-up, so kudos for that, Kevin. This isn't just fair to Kevin. It's unfair to the millions of his remaining fans to deprive us of his generational talent. Anyone lucky enough to see him in previous theatre productions will know what I mean. The ignorant idiots who want to remain impervious to the ongoing injustice going on here never mattered and never will.

I miss Kevin Spacey! i want him back in movies! people using him to get their 15 minutes of fame is getting ooold. stop cancel culture & stop this bullshit!! Kevin Spacey is among the top 5 best actors of our time and he is among 8 billion of people who are not perfect! so what?

Just bring him back. The film industry misses talent like his. He is a brave human being, facing unjust challenges caused by evil and greedy people. We have a 7 year lag on art that he could have produced, acted, created. Let him catch up. Let us all enjoy some good acting.

It’s like that scene at the end of A Face in the Crowd. He’ll be big again, but it won’t ever be like before. He’ll be a working actor. He’ll be making films for the love of it, knowing they’ll most likely end up on VOD.

Great interview, Kevin seems real genuine! I wish him all the best! Not many who are accused of these things ever admit their behavior may not have been acceptable at times and take responsibility and the bravery to get into recovery and actually change! Good job Kevin!

This was an outstanding interview.

I think he is guilty of all that he was accused of. But , he has been cleared in two courts of law. So he needs to be accepted back in Hollywood . He is a very talented actor who has a right , now , to pursue his expertise like any human being who was declared by a court.

Kevin Spacey is one of my favorite actors. I really want him to come back to acting and feel he should be allowed to return. This was a great interview, and it's good to hear him discuss his life and his progress after all is this. But he shouldn't have because people got on a bandwagon and threw him to the wolves. I really hope he has a come back. He worked hard his entire life and deserves it. Scandals in Hollywood have been around forever. It seems that only certain celebrities get targeted while others skate by.

Cancel culture is just like mass hysteria. Mob mentality is very dangerous… I’m so grateful that Kevin Spacey has been redeemed and has come out of it better than ever! Can’t wait to see him performing - a great talent and human being.

I grew so much watching Kevin’s performances and wish to see him very soon in new projects and enjoying his life . Difficult times always cause growth when they befall the right person , and Kevin Spacey surely became the actor he is and moved us all with his performances never by coincidence . I really wish Kevin Spacey all the happiness and fulfillment he has given to us all .

I’ve always loved Kevin Spacey & enjoy watching everything he is in. I miss his amazing talent. Just like what Amber Heard did to Johnny Depp- there’s so much room for stars like Kevin & JD to be exploited by some of these people for them to get their 15 minutes of fame that hasn’t happened for them otherwise. A friend of mine was in Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil & told me YEARS ago right afterwards that Kevin was the nicest, most welcoming & least arrogant of all the stars on the set

He played the role of a remorseful predator excellently. How can he say he engaged in bad behavior and at the same time claim his innocence in those harassment cases? How can it be that 20+ men who don’t know each other report that Kevin violated them? Like I said, he’s an excellent actor.

Great actor. One of the very best.

Kevin spacey seems like a much much better and more genuine person that the media has portrayed.

Far better interview than the one with Wootton, Spacey came across more genuine & sincere. Very interesting about the accusers from the C4 'documentary' happily contacting Spacey years later.

Have watched this several times now. He's not acting the nervousness and the jumpiness and the misery over the mother. Does he have something shameful to hide or elide? Undoubtedly, but it seems to be a sad consequence of the closet in which he was so long encased, outwardly translated into clumsy grabs and ever uglier fumbles and mistranslated tumbles. I feel very profoundly sorry for him. Hope springs eternal for his future, we hope.

I believe he’s innocent. I feel bad for him. I just wanted to reach out and hug him because he’s clearly traumatized by everything that has happened to him. ❤

Great interview, respectfully executed by both interviewer and interviewee. I was eager to hear Kevin in his own words, and it was brave of him to participate and to be so frank, genuine, and open about sensitive and personal topics. I miss him on-stage - American Beauty was amazing! (But all his movies are good.) Gambate!

There are hundreds of actors far better than he is who can do a great job and behave professionally. Mr Spacey had his shot and he ruined it.

Kevin Spacey is a great actor. I think he is one of the best of our time and I like all his movies. I still don’t know if he did it though. Great actors can be predators. Innocent people can be found guilty and guilty people can be found not guilty. I withhold judgement.

I worked with this guy onset. Let's just say he's an actor at all times: fake and deeply troubled with 'MANY' demons.

I’m so glad I found this interview with Mr. Spacey after watching the MAX broadcast a few nites ago. I feel better about how Kevin is responding to these accusations and look forward to his return to acting as he has always been a favorite. He is sorry for anything he has done wrong and we need to forgive him and move on.

Team Spacey… I hope he overcomes this, we miss him.

This was an amazing interview. Kevin Spacey has been one of my favourite actors for years. I read a book I absolutely loved call “Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil “ and when I found out there was a movie I was excited to find Kevin Spacey was the main character. Highly recommend. I hope that the powers that be can put the past in the past and take the fact he was found innocent and let him come back to do what he is so amazing at. This is the first time I have had an opportunity to see Allison Pearson conduct an interview and I loved it. Very compassionate and real.

A lot of people do interact with their abusers again, the logic in that is that humans are often not logical. (Im not saying he is guilty)

She had great questions… I have my own questions about his character, but he’s a great actor and hope he’s working out any lingering issues...sounds like this is so. I do wonder how much ‘revising’ some of his personality traits in real life would have on his future acting output though.

Please let this amazing actor back to work. We miss him ❤ I believe him.

Why would so many people come forward to lie? I think Kevin is in denial and even more so because he was found innocent of the charges against him.

The likelihood of women lying about SA is less than 1%. It’s a lot less for men coming forward with allegations too. I can’t blame him for thinking he can act his way of this but I think he’s bitten off a bit more than he can chew here.

He is one of the best actors I know. House of cards was a masterpiece with him. It’s a shame that they ruined his life because of things he later found not guilty of.

Great interview!

I am a Kevin Spacey fan. I think he is an amazing actor and won many awards. The Shipping News is one of my favourite movies. Whatever movie he acted in, I knew he would give a sterling performance even if the movie wasn't to my taste. Please give him a chance to make/act in movies and/or theater. He has owned up, found not guilty and it's unfair to condemn him any more.

Do victims of inappropriateness and worse deserve acknowledgment and apology for what was done to them? YES. And from all of the people who allowed it, not just the abuser. Do people like Kevin Spacey deserve complete cancellation because they made mistakes back in the day? Depends what they did, how rampantly, and how recently they stopped. Perhaps what they deserve is exactly what Spacey received… the humiliation and accountability of being publicly called out for things even he admits were wrong. Scrutiny, court, etc. It’s very complicated.

I miss Kevin so much ! He’s suffered enough from cheap opportunism…… please bring him back to who he should be!!!!!!
