The movie it was based on, Memento, was dope. Rewind is an okay story told in reverse order (which isn’t even as interesting as Memento, which is elliptical in nature)

Why do people make statements like this without doing research? Nas isn't the only one who's don this. Tupac had a song called "Old School", shouting out many of the rappers that came before him and inspired him. Biggie shouted out Marley Marl on his hit single Juicy. Jay-Z, Eminem, Kanye, and many others have given shout outs and acknowledgements to their peers and predecessors, both in their music and outside of their music. It's equally common in hip hop for rappers to beef and show love to one another

Because I played Illmatic in the car when my kids were children - now they are in their 20’s and they still play that album like it just came out!!🌹😓🔥🔥✅💯

Back in the day, I was in Manhattan and bought an lmatic cd, then I went into NIKE town and bumped into NAS and he signed it for me, he was super cool about it. I still had it in the bag, it was the most unlikely thing.
