Glubzi The Almighty, na your not, I like it. I'm sure many others do too. In Flames will always get hate. especially on their KZread videos. I thought their last album siren charms sucked I just did not find the need to troll the shit out of them, I just moved onto other bands/albums that year. Problem is this Internet age gives EVERYONE a voice. Sadly we gotta deal with that lol.

well said. I know "Battles" is going to be a great one. It's all a matter of keeping an open mind. A majority of "fans" will go on a rant and what not, but well, those who can keep an open mind are those who can truly see In Flames for who they really are. They never were a "metal band" to me. They are, were, and always will be IN FLAMES.

I've been listening to in flames now since I was 13 and I'm 28 now. And it's been a hard pill to swallow that they have evolved. But a logical person understands certain things like the fact that emotions and life changes throughout the years. People write from the heart and this must be what is there. Let's give it up to them for the fact they exist and still have the passion and drive to continue. Im still very much an "old school" in flames guy but I've accepted their journey and can still pick a few songs here and there that still feel like them. You don't start hating ur best friend when ur 40 because you guys started hanging out at 10 and he doesn't like playing tag anymore. People change as well as bands do. Let's all be glad that they made and impact on us and our very misunderstood genre of music.

Dark Tranquility and now In Flames, what an amazing month

I love my co-worker for wearing an In Flames sweater cause I wouldn't have found this awesome band without her. ^^

This song is so good man. i listened to it ONCE, then I found myself singing the chorus all day at work the next day, I had to buy it and listen a bunch of times.

This song proves to me that no matter what musical direction they take, I will always love what they do. In Flames is just THAT band for me.

I like the way this band evolved. And I like it more that old one. Sounds of a Playground Fading and Sirens Charms are my fav albums...not truly I just listen only them.

Nice to see them go back to old school a bit. Inflames is pretty much my favorite band by a long mile.

Cool progression, sweet leads, interesting atmospheric electronic music and one of the best vocal performances by anders. Very enjoyable

i enjoy that In Flames is willing to go outside the box with their sound. It makes them stand out more and endure the times. I look forward with anticipation as to what they will do next

I love this new sound without doubt! I'm a huge fan of both the harsh sound they've had in previous album awell as the softer sound they're going for here, so thumbs up! In Flames I trust!

Flou's Metalworld every song they've released so far has been really awesome. definitely a nice "reroute" from siren charms. which In itself wasn't bad, but this album definitely defines what in flames is about. the melodies and feeling in all the new songs give the band new life.. but that's just my opinion. to each their own!

Passenger was actually really great alternative metal. Eat a bowl of Lucky Charms, you butthole. Honestly, Passenger is better than this and the last album.

Definitely enjoying the sound of this one. The only complaint I can think of so far from these new tracks is that the one previous to this had some wonky mixing going on, but I really dig the sound of these overall. I've always loved In Flames' use of synthesisers and this record seems to be bringing them much farther forward which is certainly welcome to me.

That´s really one of the best songs I heard from them!

I listen to the Band right from their first album. They have gone through a lot of changes. But I like them nowadays just like in the beginning. They are experimenting a lot and I like that. At the time "Colony" was released I wished for more clean chorusvocals. Now Anders is doing it. They evolve deal with it or listen to other bands.

I like it. Love the breakdowns. IN FLAMES trying to find themselves yet again.

The Abyssal Archivist I haven't heard a lot of their older songs before Reroute to Remain, but I am aware of those albums that they did etc. I got into In Flames when I first heard Take This Life off Come Clarity, so I've heard more of the stuff from around that era of In Flames such as Reroute to Remain, Soundtrack to Your Escape, A sense of Purpose, Sounds of a Playground Fading etc, but I do like what I've heard from the band, including the upcoming material :)

Chorus sounds beautiful and amazing. It's not melodeath, but still sounds great :D.

I could hear any 8 bars from any "older" song from In-Flames and could tell you which song it is and from which album. Each song had something unique and each album had a very unique style. After and with "A Sense of Purpose" all their songs have become somehow washed-up, the power-chords riffs are boring, all songs are close to some kind of formula. Also the lyrics are all some kind of teenager angst bullshit.

I don't get why people like you are still complaining. They've gradually been making moves like this since Clayman with their sound. This is such old news. You gonna act the same when their next album after this isn't TJR 2, like you want? It's been 20 years. Bands change. People change. You like their 90's work? Guess what, I do too. Whoracle is a fucking masterpiece. But I'm not gonna sit and cry because they won't completely rewind to make more of my own personal favorites. To think they'll actually do that is crazy delusional. They've changed, for better or for worse, no matter how "betrayed" you feel. Do you really hope to hear some Subterranean-like material every time you listen to a new single? If you did your research you would know that first of all the band was totally different back then and that no one from that line-up is left. On Lunar Strain Mikael from Dark Tranquillity is on vocals with most of the well known original members of IF while Anders was in DT on vocals for 2 or 3 albums i believe which are really good. Then they switched it up. The current IF line-up only has Anders as the let's call him original member and all of that in combo is tanking the band in my opinion. There is one track that has promise which is When The World Explodes that sounds awesome live so we will see what happens. If nothing else take a listen to the new Dark Tranquillity album Atoma which is really awesome.

I remember....Til Colony they have made fkn great melodic death albums, remember tracks like Episode 666, Jotun or Jester Race. The Clayman Album was the last good one. After that with every album i was hoping they get back to the roots. Finally after 3 bäääääh albums i cutted them out of my mind and havent interested in new material of them anymore

In my opinion everything before Reroute is shit.. Yesterday I've listened a few song from each old albums and all I saw is repetitive boring riffs and melodies. Reroute is amazing and after that I don't know a lot of the newer songs.. I understand your point, it's the same with Linkin Park, Taproot, All That Remains, we all want to see them coming back to their root, but that's not gonna happen and honestly I don't hate the new songs. But I really respect your opinion and I understand that ! ;)

Maybe that was the point for In Flames to get such listeners like you are, maybe they are fed up with good melodic death now, only god knows. But for me they are shit nowadays, a shadow of themselves. Betray to the fans of the first hour. I compare them with Craptallica. The same line, the same fault, the same shit ;)

Good song, when started I thought Oh shit, wtf is this ? But the song was good, The End still the best, The Truth is a piece of shit and Through My Eyes is ok, yeah, they are not the In Flames that we knew anymore (R.I.P 1996 - 2006).It's sad, In Flames is my favorite melodeath band but...they totaly change, we need to let it go. For me the band just need to play all together, the classic songs, December Flower,Moonshield,The Jester Race,, Jotun, Food for the Gods,Ordinary Story, Colony, Bullet Ride, Only for the Weak, Square Nothing, Trigger etc... Doing this and composing all together I have sure that they will gave us amazing albuns and songs again.Now they're just another band with good songs. (Sorry for my bad English guys)...

Every bands sound changes. It has to. It's the same reason you can't sit and listen to the same album over and over for weeks. You get bored. If bands kept the same sound people would get bored of them. On top of that, bands write the music they want to write, not necessarily the music their fans want to hear. They have tens of thousands of fans, they can't please them all coz they all want to here different sounds. This is the music In Flames want to write. Just because some people don't like it doesn't make them sell outs. What would make them sell outs is writing music they don't want to write just to make fans happy. They can't make everybody happy at the same time. Just coz you guys don't like it doesn't mean the songs suck. Remember there's people out there that think One Direction and Justin Beiber write good music. It's not a matter of bad songs, it's a matter of taste. You don't like it, fine. But you cant call it shit just because you don't like it. I don't like Justin Beiber but that doesn't mean his musics shit. There's millions of people out there that like it. Yeah, I prefer older In Flames to this stuff, but I can understand that if this is what they want to write then that's fine with me. If the band is happy writing the music then that's what matters

I thought it would make more sense to reference oh I dunno the Soilwork album from last year, The Ride Majestic? One of their best works yet?
