It kinda makes me smile that Dustin, McGregor, Gaethje and Khabib are the same age. By the time McGregor was a superstar, all these guys were relatively unknown to casuals. Years later, Gaethje and Dustin are getting the respect they deserve, Khabib retired as a legend and McGregor is knocking everyone out on Twitter.

Beyond delighted this rivalry has ended in the Diamonds favor. Conor from the 145 days was something else & credit to him for beating Dustin. But Dustin grew from that experience & his mental game leveled up to the point where Conors aura had no effect on him. I'm glad he beat him twice even if the third fight ended in a leg break.
@animeplay3598

Yes, but you do know that Conor is not at his best as an athlete, right? He is a rusty conor who already achieved things at a very young age and who has not yet achieved his best moment, he entered it very young at 28. He was not a champion, he was a double champion, until his way of speaking changed, not like that, nobody would get into his head and what By the way, something surprising is that Conor's best moment was almost 7 years ago and only to retire and after that in the next 5 years he fought only 2 times that guy just wanted money and as soon as he got it he retired

Conor lost his hunger and drive. If you look closely at his fight against khabib, you can see it. He could have done much better than he did, his takedown defense is way better than that and he only showed a glimpse of it. He also didn't show khabib respect/underestimated him. Not saying he would have won, but he let himself down in that fight. He also didn't show Dustin the necessary respect because he knocked him out easily in their first fight

6:48 dustin destroyed conor with that line, when dustin said "not McGregor fast, McGregor sleep!" in the exact moment where conor picked up the mic to respon was the most perfect timing ever! not McGregor fast indeed, still one of my top 10 UFC moments of all time! xD
Love the vids man!!
In depth rivalry is so entertaining... Would love to see it reoccur
It's a shame. I wish Conor won the trilogy because Conor is really good for the sport. Seeing him around the top 5 could've given us some big fights with Tony, Chandler, Gathje. Shame he did that Mayweather fight all those years ago. That killed him

I'm quite sad for Dustin that he hasn't been the undisputed champ, and I also doubt it will happen anytime soon with Makhachev being the defending champ. Dustin can definitely win against elite strikers, but agaisnt a great wrestler is a tough opposition for him. I would also include Charles as tough opposition for Dustin with the Brazilian's elite jujitsu, but dustin hurt him and arguably he could have pulled off the win if he hasn't been too hesitant to attack charles on the ground when the latter was knocked down.

Solid rivalry.
Greatest rivalry ever the diamond was young in 2014 conor mystic mac made the call 2020 2021 poirier got his revenge with crisp leg kick's and drilled striking great time's great memories thank's for the stream brother...
This gets me so hype
I don't b think I've ever been as pumped over a win as I was both times Poirier beat Conor. Obviously more so for the first time cuz the diamond tucked him in for a nap but seeing him get his leg snapped in half was pretty great too! 👌

Next video: Opponents BEFORE and AFTER fighting valentina shevchenko???
McGregor should have taken it slower starting with a top 10 top 12 ish guy and not just started with Dustin top 5 on paper and top 3 (in my opinion) then, everyone needs warmup fights

Khabib ended the Notorious Era. Dustin put the nails in the coffin though.
Been a fan of Dustin since the Fightville movie in 2011!
I can't believe people were still betting on Conor McGregor even after the Poirier knock out. Do you do realize the first fight was a featherweight bout when Poirier was draining his body? When he moved to lightweight, he became a different fighter.

You also gotta realize Mcgregor was outboxing Dustin until the leg kicks of Dustin payed off (which was smart by him and he won fair and square.). Also stylistically when Mcgregor is in his karate stance he has the stylistic advantage.

They make me laugh every time I see that comment hahaha it's true that Dustin had a bad time in 144 but what about? 😂🤦🤦 haha he was a corpse at 145 he even looked worse than dustin don't say that excuse anymore and the other thing is that literally conor's best moment was almost 7 years old he was very young when he was champion obviously he won't be at his best 😂 🤷 I'm asking you a serious question. Do you think that this color now is the same as in 2016? let's be honest conor in his best moment knocks out poirier and if you're angry well conor was literally better at everything on his feet and even so this old conor gave dustin a boxing refresher in the second fight it was shown that he is still more technical and not It's no secret to you or anyone else that Conor was always more technical than Poirier.
Dope
Epic
Watching these two in in-depth videos like these just shows how high level Charles and Khabib is. I mean two of the greatest warriors in 155 and both lost to Khabib and well Charles didn't fight Conor but i dont think the outcome would be any different,Charles is built like a constrictor man once he holds you he wont let go. If Conor gets past Chandler this year he has to fight Charles. Great video BTW
Jones vs DC next!
Out for blood and settle business, hmmm.. Nice one👍
You should have ended this video with McGregor shouting 'your wife is in my DMs' 🤣
Babe, wake up! Tfb just posted!
O shit you made a video on this time to hit the Benjamin
Dustin proved that he evolved and McGregor stopped in time. He is a more complete and superior fighter than McGregor these days.
@animeplay3598
Жыл бұрын
What happens is that Conor got his prime very young and Dustin is in his first year. I've heard that comment many times and it doesn't make sense 😂🤷 and I doubt very much that Dustin Prime could beat Conor Prime. That Conor was simply superior in everything. one more thing and that is that many believe that conor is in his prime which is the same as the 2016 conor haha I will only tell you that almost 7 years have passed since he was champion obviously he is not at his best
@animeplay3598
Жыл бұрын
It is easy to say when Mcgregor is almost his last but but with him at his best he was even better, you put both of them at their best and Mcgregor would be the wide favorite, the truth would be that he would knock him out because if he knocked him out the first time when he was champion it was another level In boxing and technically, that conor was too technical, possibly the best boxer that has happened in the history of the UFC

@@animeplay3598 Prime vs Prime Dustin is better. Have better ground game and solid defense. in my view, after khabib everyone evolved except Connor. Prime Connor couldn't beat the current top 5. he had every mystic aura about him, but khabib proved that Connor could be finished.

"This man has to learn, that if you disrespect a person's kindness and take it as a weakness you're gonna pay" I never understood where Connor was trying to go with this line lmao, it doesn't mean anything at all, he played kind and Dustin gave it back in form of respect, he didn't abuse no shit, if there was dick that needs to pay it was him.

Dustin checked his kick and probably blocked another one with his elbow, he caused that injury that was a TKO via Dustin being a better fighter in every area, end of story.

The best trilogy in ufc period
Poirier looks like if Geasy was actually a gangster.
As far as I know Conor did end up donating. Even then, humble Conor was a weird character tbh it felt fake, he's a good guy, but not good with his enemies.
Sorry but you did not just call what happened in their last fight a “conclusive end”😂
Ngl there should be a Dustin porier vs mcgregor 4
Conor was not the same after that Alvarez fight. He achieved his goal to become a 2 weight world champion. The 1st ever in the UFC. After that, the man got blinded by money and stop training as hard as he does. Sell the fight, get in the octagon, get beaten, and cash out. Win or lose Conor earns millions. Money is what matters to him now. Its even worse than what happened to Jon Jones, because Jon could still beat everyone up, while Conor, he's done.
This is why I love the diamond , I don’t have to hear conor say FOOK every 5 seconds anymore
Yeeeeeees
