I bought the mad Charriot first, but now I also ordered the two others. I still miss the exclusives, but they don't seem to be worth that 750€ price tag most people try to extort from me.

OH! man! I'm so glad you're back on videos for DS! I found your channel about a week or so ago, and binge-watched almost all of your content! Do you have plans to have another play-through Dark Souls video? would be so cool to watch you face some DS3 bosses with some challenging duo teams. Thank you for great content

I'll be doing a solo sorcerer Ds2 run soon. There isn't a lot of variety of bosses for ds3, but let me know what characters you'd like to see

@@CynicallyAwesome Man, if you'd run Deprived & Sorc together, I think it'd make a sweet run! Especially that your previous playthroughs were heavy "mele" based, it would be great to see how balanced \ challenging might be the spells items combos

Recently found a copy of the core game at a new lgs. So I finally got the game and have been trying to get all the expansions. This is a nice form of road map as I'm down to just mega bosses at this point. (Besides the Asylum demon, I got him with the tile set.) Would be nice to get a new mini boss.

I really like that tweak for Heat Up on the Last Boss you described. I may have to steal that as a house rule for all bosses. Seems like it would be nastier and perhaps more exciting if in the middle of battle they heat up with a brand new behavior immediately. I think I will try the next boss fight this way, introduce the heat up card immediately, then reshuffle.

My ranking for these three would be: Executioner's Chariot (for my money the best mega boss out of all 10, as well as best boss fight out of every boss in the game, and new encounters and enemies) > Last Giant > Manus (that's the current take, I keep flip-flopping the last two, usually based on how their previous fights went down). Manus comes last because his special rules make him easier than LG to fight, plus LG packs the nutty 9-dmg Leap upon Heat Up (and it's always guaranteed to be included). There is also the ridiculous Manus base size while only coming with a fairly small (for a mega boss) tile, he almost covers multiple nodes even when centered on one node. Thematically Manus > LG, but from a pure fight POV, LG > Manus. It was exactly how I feared things would be with Manus, coming after what felt like an innovative and really cool Executioner's Chariot boss, Manus would be a letdown and it proved to be so. That might also influence my take on Manus, if the release order had been LG -> Manus -> EC, maybe Manus wouldn't have felt so disappointing. I still don't mind owning everything, it'll give me more variety to play.

mega bosses are not worth buying as the game starts hard and get abit easyier as you get better stuff. but if you beat a boss then fight the next boss you will die alot and you may never see the mega boss. i played just bosses and started with what ever i wanted and still found hard. but the mega boss was super hard to kill. i got the dragonblack dragon kalimeed.just burns everything. but i like having a dragon in the game.

Out of 130+ plays, I've only failed to reach mega boss once, even that was a four dice dodge + Luck token failure vs one dodge difficulty attack. Honestly, the mini boss is often the most challenging boss fight, apart from O&S (the cause of that mentioned one defeat).

Dark souls 1 is by faaar the worst game of DS series, lol. After O&S battle, it just feel like completely unfinished and unbalanced mess. Bed of chaos is just random, literally zero skill based boss fight. DS1 does have the best lore of ds series, yes. But this doesn't really saves that messy gameplay. DS2 is way superior to DS1.
