The vitamin c drop changed colour because it oxidized! I think the weather in singapore makes it oxidize alot faster so maybe storing it in the fridge will help

Yeah it's basically because of two factors: heat and light. Vit C in general oxidizes upon contact with oxygen which is why it is always ideal to use pump style dispensers on them. Accordin to klairs, their vitamin c is very mild and a stable version but clearly, that is questionable because the product still oxidizes. Another thing is that Vit C should be placed in a dark area and in a light resistant bottle at least, which is why most vit c products come in brown bottle or black bottle. It was a stupid move for Klairs to place it in a plastic, transparent bottle. On the topic of oxidation, you can prolong the life by placing it in the dark corner of your fridge. When you dispense drops via the dropper, squeeze the dropper into your hands and then continue squeezing it until you've fully placed it back in the bottle to prevent oxygen from being dispensed into the solution. It is usually acceptable for a vitamin C to turn LIGHT YELLOW although at that point, that means it is around 80% effective. Once it turns darker than light yellow, never use it because instead of being an anti-oxidant, it will now be an oxidant and that's basically like putting harmful things back into your skin. Some companies put dyes in their vit c products to actually disguise the oxidation. When working with Vit C, it is always important to consider the ph level of your skin. Vit C works best at a ph of 3 I believe. If you're using stripping cleansers and toners for example (alkaline ones with a ph of above 7), this usually makes vit c a little less effective. So always use ph balancing cleansers prior to using vit c.

When I read on the website, the Vitamin C serum should be keep in a dark and cool place. It will be better if you store it inside refrigerator and about the yellow color, they (Klairs) said it's a normal thing. The color changing doesnt mean they loss their functions.

Esther Jiahui Hi there, I have tried the pore corset serum and it works! Of course, you will still have to clean your pores by exfoliating and cleansing well. However, I think the skin will become 'used to it' and it wouldn't work anymore. By then the pores would have shrinked and you can just maintain a good skincare routine to maintain it. Yep I am currently using it in my routine now. i alternate between this and the vit c serum. Both does its functions well. you could give it a try. :) the vit c helps to reduce the redness and lightens scars instead

They have a choose your moisturizer on the wishtrend website but I think for normal/oily skin it would be ok. I have oily skin type and recommend the birch scrap lotion from cosrx and if you have drier parts on your face use the rice overnight sleeping mask from cosrx.

I would use it with a bit of moisturizer combined in the beginning as it can irritate the skin more than the vitamin drop. Cosrx is launching a pretty similar product soon, so lets see which is better. I started using the vitamin drop first and see if it irritates my skin.

Hi Brenda, you mentioned the Vit E sleeping mask has a little niacinamide in it. Why would you use it together with the Vit C serum then? Niacinamide and Vit C cancels each other out.

It depends on the form of vitamin c that you use with it. If you use L-Asorbic Acid then it can cause problems, but using MAP or another form of vitamin C then it is fine to use together

I have read that vitamin c and niacinamide shouldn't be used together as they cancel out each other's benefits. The Klairs vitamin E mask has 2% niacinamide . And the klairs freshly juiced vitamin drop has 5% vitamin C . I'm really confused about the application. Maybe we can use the vitamin C serum during the day time with sunscreen and the klairs vitamin E with niacinamide at night? Ain't no taking risk until and unless I'm very sure about the combination of these two favorite ingredients of mine lol Anyway great review! Love klairs and would be getting the Vitamin E mask soon :) xx

you can ask the wishtrend team on their website. they also recommend using the vitamin c drop together with the vitamin tea tree gel from I`m from. So I asked them because the tea tree gel also contains niacinamide. They told me that the concentration is so low that it doesn`t affect each other :)

orange orange hi there, this is a little late and idk if you still need an answer but here goes. I highly recommend putting these things on my texture, thinnest to thickest. Toners and essences tend to be more watery in texture and therefore it’s recommended you apply them first. After that you apply your sheet mask because they tend to be soaked in an essence and are essential a second essence so it makes sense why you’d group them together. The Serum has a sort of oil like consistency making it a bit thicker so I’d recommend applying that after a sheet mask, then top it off with the vitamin e mask and eye cream or moisturizer and eye cream

Nope. Never mix vitamic C and E girl. U can use vitamin C in the morning and e mask at night. But never use them in the same routine.

the sunscreen from avene is pretty good :) the innisfree one also left me with a white cast but the french one doesn`t.

I looked up some of the ingredients of most of Klairs stuff, and I found they have some good ingredients, but there also some black sheep mixed in :/ the toner has Chlorphenesin inside, which can cause skin irritation, especially in people with dry and sensitive skin. Disodium Edta is also not that good since it can weaken the barrier of the skin. the vitamin c drops have glycol inside, which is developmental toxic and could be hormonally active. the soothing creme has Microcrystalline Wax, which is said to be able to cause cancer, for it being made up of mineral oil. It also has Chlorphensin inside, as well as silicones and some other ingredients that can weaken the barrier of the skin. Oh well, I have been a big fan of korean make up, until I actually looked up some of the ingredients. Sadly Klairs is not the only brand... You didn't mention missha's night repair ampule, but I just want to mention that it has a UV filter... why it is a product you only use at night? It also has BHT, which can cause cancer. BTW, most of the UV filter are super bad and hormally active. I'd rather get sunburn... The only brands I find have really good ingredients is whamisa. I don't wanna do ads here, but most of the products I looked up do not have any really bad ingredients. The other real good brand is cosrx, where one or two products aren't that safe but the majority looks good =) ok, sorry to everyone who is a fan of klairs. but please be critical about the things you put on your skin.

when I did some research about ingredients I came to the same conclusion with Klairs products, there are both awesome ingredients and sometimes very bad ones. So whamisa seemed like a godsent when I saw the ingredients... unfortunately when I tried the toner I noticed it was irritating my skin so it made me sad... and there sunscreen is a bit drying

The midnight blue creme did broke me out very veryyyyyy badly 😟

I bought the whole line and something is not working with my skin (I have sensitive skin with mild rosacea). The moisturising cream is fine, but I'm suspecting foul play by either the serum or the toner. Anyway, I would advise to tread carefully if you have actually sensitive skin or do treatments such as a peels and lasers.

Actually the Klairs toner irritated Liah Yoo's skin made it red so she couldn't kep using it. I think is because of the unnecessary fragrance it contains.

Well it was a bloody nightmare, I had to take a picture of my nose, and send it to them. WTF, I felt like my brain was burning . Read the return policy first. Buy your products elsewhere!

Vitamin E mask has niacinamide in it. And vitamin C reacts with niacinamide and truns yellow. Don't use niacinamide and vitamin C together.
