In Conversation with Henry Rollins (part 2 of 2)

Ойын-сауық

A Phi Production
www.phi-centre.com/
Punk icon and lead singer for the ground-breaking Black Flag and Rollins Band, Henry Rollins is also a journalist, author, publisher, actor, and globe-trotter. This multi-disciplinary performer calls on his extensive experience and talents as a spoken word artist to deliver a sometimes biting critique of some of the most controversial aspects of American culture. A skilled wordsmith, Rollins pulls no punches in his efforts to raise public awareness to the issues that concern him. An outspoken straight talker, he promises to deliver a hard-hitting and enthralling talk.
Talk moderated by Michael-Oliver Harding.

Dig your profile pic. Fuck yeah. I remember Todd from Nails said they don't call themselves grindcore because they're influenced by Minor Threat which makes them hardcore.

It's the goat of storytellers, i could hear Henry talk for hours, he don't fake his monsters he don't try to teach to battle yours because he is so honest that know that everyone has his own receipt, he is not a motivator (but a lot of shitting youtube channel steal his words) he is pure entertaining human beeing. Thanks Henry

Thank you for this interview, centre phi. I wish it never ended. I enjoy listening to Henry. I like the way he thinks. He seems very real and very grounded. He never forgets that he came up the hard way. I appreciate that he basically stopped doing music when he felt like he had nothing left to say. That's my definition of real integrity.

He said why. He said that if someone gets close to him, there might be nothing in there for him to give, so that's why he won't be in a relationship with someone. That, and the constant travel, spoken word, all those things that keep him on the road. He wouldn't do that to a kid, for example: the father that is not there. He would rather continue to do what he likes. And also, he said he doesn't want to have kids. He wants his gene to end here, because of his father.

He doesn't want to make room for someone else. It would have to be a blow up doll because he would never stop talking and let her talk. Her personality would not matter to him.
