As a PhD Carolyn points out that “its OK to realise the limitations of an academic career as a researcher and seek alternatives…it’s for the “rest of your life” She then goes on to explain how to build a credible profile, reassuringly pointing out that most firms are keen to see a broad interest in science and some relevant transferable skills.
