I totally feel Steve when he talks about wanting to go back to the forest after being in a big city. I moved from Rovaniemi Finland to Seattle and it has been tough for me to go about in the city, it gives me a lot of anxiety, it feels suffocating. Luckily I don't live in the city centre area and I can take drives out of Seattle and be in pure northwest nature in less than an hour. This is a great interview with two really in tune dudes.

I live in Los Angeles. A concrete jungle, and honestly I always go to the mountains for beaches because I have that longing to be with nature, especially during the night time when its alot more peaceful and tranquil

When I listen to Wardruna, Kaunan I feel I go back in time to my old Norse roots. I feel the old Gods exist up here in the North. Hail Asatru

Timeless universal mechanism created in nature is everlasting source of music. So powerful connections, “constant source “ in a fo m of “song seeking” is simply magical. Just have a look at Finnish mythology as a great example.....maybe “the most romantic and wild” at the same time. Impressed by truthfulness of actions and ideas this music carry on. Intuitive as well as academic. Must admit Wardruna approach is more inspiring in the matter of “presence or absence “ of nature creating music.!In other words, act of creation of music in its roots is always in ideas tapping so deeply into nature. Everything comes out and comes back to it. In different aspects, but same. Again, forever impressed by curiousity, authenticity and revealing the importance of pre christian cultures in forming Universal pattern and matrix in poetry and art in general. Here we are. Myths and sagas as the fundamental base of any art form. What’s the most wonderous is that everything can be sung. So, maybe song precedes an image....however sincretic art had been at the times. Truly overwhelming inspirational topic I’m forever devoted to. Enormously enjoyed. Thanks for amazing metaphorical thoughts and ideas. Genuine 🌹🌹
