I paid $25 for mine at Cash Converts Australia, thanks for the review, in my opinion it has good transmission quality, I have 2008 Vw Jetta and the car radio has no blue tooth sadly, so I run an iPad fixed over the existing radio etc, it fits perfect, wished I could show you a picture of it ! , this will now allow me to Bluetooth the iPad to the car radio, etc

(From Sydney!) I'm glad and surprised to hear this as I have tried many shops and they don't have it (indicating that there is no future in these product, hinting that they don't quite work properly?) As for your lack of Bluetooth in your car I'm also surprised you need your car to have one? I thought I understood these gadgets can have bluetooth in them too and they just transmit sound to your FM band. But I could be wrong. I know much little about it and only want DAB since they've taken 2CH music from AM and put it on DAB.(This may tell you my age group!)

@@meeekstubbular They often say that to justify the total lack will to provide Australian with more choice. They don't have it because they'd rather sell you big margin $$ items.

Would the DAB+ work if you put the antenna in the center console?

Very good presentation but I would not call it a review. As many people have all sort of issues with those transmitters and many shops will not sell them on that premise. There are questions about sound quality anywhere, wiring, ease of use on the go, aerial complication. etc... But I'm prepared to believe it is some kind of reasonable alternative to older car which don't warrant to replace their radio with a proper DAB radio possibly in the region of being 6 times more expensive

Sorry that antenna is very much essential for DAB

I have the same unit but in your review the micro USB that powers the unit, is disconnected from the unit when you were doing the demo at the start. My micro USB is not removable. The model number is the same. It is handy to be able to remove for running cables or using different size cables. Can you shed any light? Thanks

My unit has the power connected also, it’s not able to be disconnected, the unit in the video here looks like it is power by micro USB etc

Is sound quality better than common FM transmitter ?
