Everything had to happen just as it did, right down to keslowski smoking the tires through 3 to then push Hamlin down to the low line out of 4 just to make room for Chastain to fit past him.     I do not watch nascar. I was just flipping through the channels and stopped on this race with 30 laps to go and thought I'd give nascar a shot. That was the craziest thing I have ever seen and I will be watching the championship race and be rooting for him.

    NASCAR wanted drama they got it!! This is the results of their championship playoffs with win to get in, period. NASCAR and Ross are #1 on Twitter, KZread and other platforms. Ross has gained thousands of fans, and so has NASCAR. Like it or not, this will go down in history as one of the greatest moves ever in NASCAR.

    I watch Chastain’s in car camera and I know full well there is nothing inside of me that would’ve been able to grab another gear, matte the throttle, and deliberately drive it into the wall without lifting. That man is on a whole different level.

    My son has never been interested any kind of racing, but after this happened, he couldn’t stop texting me clips from all the camera angles and reactor videos. He was asking if this kind of stuff happens all the time. I told him no…that’s what makes incidents like this so special. Kind of like watching golf and seeing a hole-in-one…you could watch 100 golf events and maybe see one hole-in-one happen, but when you do, it’s the coolest moment.

    Someone bends the rules just far enough that it needs to be clearly defined. Probably something like, sustained contact with the barrier under acceleration is not permitted. Then some team gets the bright idea to sacrifice a car to the wall while they both accelerate lol.

    No matter how many times i see this, im amazed every time. The boy is just different, could have turned differently sure, gutsy move but it worked. Got to be a first just that the pedal was to the metal at a track that small. I have never seen the stat yet, but i wonder just how fast he was going with that move.
