Even Hajime from Arifureta would roll his eyes and call Toya a cheapskate and a living trope who didn't earn anything, despite he himself being a literal walking Chunibyo's Self insert Wet Dream (at least he had to scramble and claw his way tooth and nail to get his powers and gear).

If I were to be reincarnated I’d definitely want my smartphone with me, along with my AirPods. Has all my music on it and game apps and whatnot plus having a map to navigate a new world comes in handy and would allow me to go places without getting lost, especially during a quest or two.

Edit: Damn notifications Besides what I know, Bring my phone, my pair of wireless headphones, my duster coat and cowboy Hat, ask for mastery in cavalry saber combat while I get my US Cavalry saber converted into a real one, revigor my tawquando knowledge, know the art of ebononics/ sailor mouth for communication skills, magic skill, mastery of disguise and voice work....absurdly high level of luck and endurance. Some a few others I can't list here. To sum it up, be a jack of trades, but not be too over powered. Enough to turn heads and keep people from messing with me and others on my team

If i was limited to physical equipment I actually could acquire potentially acquire IRL; I'd want some Guns, tons of ammo, spare magazines, weapon maintenance supplies/tools, body armor, a big backpack, durable clothes and shoes and then I'd ask for the knowledge and skills to make More ammo. Then only then would I consider the magic smart phone as the cherry on top and have it be a model that's built tough as nails, with some kind of ear buds to go along with it and maybe a speaker.

I hope that it will have a season 2 and 3 because it's cool,funny, and beautiful. I hope that Season 2 have a 26 episode.

That intro is hilarious with the orchestral music but I feel the show set itself up here as being more tongue and cheek than it ultimately is. The slip gag is funny though.

The story from season 1 isn’t something to write home about, but this anime was always a guilty pleasure of mine. I do hope that season 2 has more substance than season 1.

Season 2 will never come out. This is a usual date for anime Light Novel adaptations.

I haven’t watched this show yet, so this seems like the perfect time to give it a chance.

This is easily be the most overpowered starting set out of all the Isekai I ave seen. I mean, he is essentially more intelligent than anyone on this planet (with working and updating WIFI and a google scholarship), he is fluent and powerful in every type of magic that they have there, and is pretty much one of the only people there who can do so. To make matters worse, he can essentially spawn in certain things using magic (im curious as to whether he can create hybrid elements due to his abilities with all types of magic), and will be able to access schematics for industrial age technology. He also has working GPS making him the best navigator on this planet. He can be the best chef, explorer, warrior, businessman, industrialist, politician/leader, general in this planets history without much trouble. He wants to keep learning? Just take an online course on his phone. He wants to teach others information age ideas/technology? Put the phone on speaker mode. EZ mode

Can't wait for S2. Been wishing for it ever since I first watched this show

read the LN's up to mostly current, and....Hoooo boy a lot happens. Its more of a Mecha type for a while.....the writer really does bring a lot of other genres all rolled into one, with lots to keep track of. At least it releases more often then Deathmarch, which is similar to smartphone (read both at the same time) but I do like the writing a little better over smartphone.

Fast-food isekai. A guilty pleasure of a show. The animation is decent, the writing is lazy, the premise is your typical power-trip fantasy. Ordinary person in our world is suddenly an all-powerful, all-knowing god level character who gets money, fame, and female with little to no true effort. It was a show designed to make a quick cash-grab. all the same, it's a fun show when you are bored and have a few hours to kill.

ONE OF THE FEW ISEKAI where Main character gets a chance to go BACK to earth! Well, just for his honeymoon at least. Only other anime that I saw do this was- The Familiar of Zero.

The thing that always stood out to me in this first episode was when the God said not directly in response to his question of can he communicate with the other world that suggests to me that the possibility of indirect communication is possible anybody else catch that.

I watched this 100% because of Something Witty Entertainment's Smartphone Abridged to see how close they were sticking to the canon, and I gotta say... I kind of wish THIS anime had done the whole "I want to be god" and calling Satan bits. I get that was SWE's stroke of genius, but it would've made that first scene 1,000,000x better.

This anime is so ridiculous. He is by far the most overpowered bastard I’ve seen and all he uses is „Slip“. But I kinda love it though

Season 2 was good I'm hopeful that a third season happens. For me what was a missed opportunity was that we never got the in-between episode where he proposes that the girls and gives them the rings all we see in the first episode of season 2 is them already either wearing the rings, or with Elize's case, wearing it around her neck on a string.
