Hello there!
Today I will show you a new sequencer that is super fun to use and allows me to change the way I perform live. The T1 is an Euclidean sequencer with many ways to randomize ( in a very controllable and musical way ) most of its parameters.
I will use it with my beloved Vermona Perfourmer MKII and the Elektron Machinedrum.
Enjoy!

This is exactly what I was missing since I've got this SEQ... a proper real life scenario presentation, logically layered down! Well done :D 10/10!!!! Thanks so much... This changes the interaction from "happy accidents" to "partially controller happy accidents" :D which makes a HUGE difference!

Is it possible to use this as a 16 track midi controller with an iPad using Drambo ? Do the knobs have their own CC messages? Can the pads be used to play drums?

Thanks for the detailed review. Got this one on kickstarter a while ago (took almost a year to ship 😅) since I found the concept fascinating and I love anything generative or semi-generative, but never really gelled with it. I think the relative lack of visual feedback didn't help. Oxi one or even the Play have somehow similar features (euclydian patterns etc.) but seem to be a bit easier to use maybe? Still on the fence if I sell it or not... 😅

Really fantastic! Great vid! I‘m very interested in this machine. What do you think? Is it possible to further shape own melodies with the T1, that I have programmed in form of midi regions in the DAW or from other synthesizers? Or are the controllers, especially the Pitch Controller on T1, controllable from an external midi source? I like to create my own melodies with other devices. Not only, but I can't imagine what would happen if I ran them through there. That would really take me to the next level.

@@tendingtropic7778 I saw the hapax and quite tempted. But between the T1 and the pyramid there's not a lot that I can't do... The T1 still has the advantage of knob per function I guess. Quick and easy, and the hapax looks deep! They're all great sequencers.... We're spoilt for choice arent we 😁👍🏻

Thank you! I just discovered your channel, great stuff! you seem to have played with all the devices I am thinking about purchasing. I am wondering if I should get the T-1 or O-ctrl. Two very different decives, but can't have both. I am wondering how the T-1 will be together with the Make Noise devices and maybe a Digitakt..

Hello! well the T1 is way more versatile than o-ctro to me. I actually think that a quantized out on the o ctrl would have make it a fantastic device, but without it is somewhat hard to use for me ( mostly bc I do melodic stuff).

Hey Oora! I love your sets, and have seen you on the MOD forums before (how I found you). I love your style, like Jon Gee, and I share a huge amount of gear with you. The talent is the contention point. That being said, I've seen you rocking the oxi one, and that is currently on the way to me. Is there an overlap between the T1 and O1 that I can limp along with, or are the features unique and worth buying both?

  • @OoraMusic

    @OoraMusic

Hey there! I use them both a lot and I feel they complement each other well. Oxi gives you more control and is definitely more versatile, while t1 is one of the most fun sequencer around. They are great together!

Hi Oora, I think you made me buy this. how do you handle clocksyncing? do you sync everything to the T-1? because I believe you can't dial in a specific tempo (only 16 set values?). did you use a midi thru on the machinedrum or vermona to link boh synths to the midi out of the T-1?

  • @OoraMusic

true, you can set precise tempo (hope this will change) , so I generally slave it.

I got mine yesterday and am using it with soma pulsar, super fun !I am having problems selecting the output/channels to individual drum units on the pulsar with the learn function. It seems to only want to play the same rhythm on all 4 channels rather than having individual rhythms. Im routing through Ableton. Wondered if you had any ideas ?Thanks !

You’ve probably already done this but have you ensured the channel has changed on the Torso for each Pulsar channel. Each time you go into a new pattern the channel selection resets to 1 for all channels

Loving this. There are not enough hardware euc/generative sequencers. Noodler was a nice little thingy, but i found it limiting. I would really like to combine this with my elektron sequencers. How is it with random note lengths?

@@OoraMusic so you recommend it in pair with Electron boxes - AR, Octarack, Machine Drum. Meaning, sequencers from these machines. My core sequencing comes from their sequencers but as crazy as it sounds i would like some more randomness into it in a form of euclidian sequencing.
