after 5:50 you said India is becoming autocratic 😂😂😂 this is the biggest joke I have ever heard. I am Indian. I can share you many incidents that the previous government before 2014 was actually autocratic. These reports are just propaganda funded by open society foundation who openly announced to out throw Modi ji. We people of India support Modi ji and going to elect him again in upcoming 2024 election. Than how it's undemocratic.

@@jesssy1315Yeah it is called brain drain, but the good thing is it's reducing by a lot. Most of them studied in western nations and they wanna live in that society. Now, things are changing as same Indian tech workers are ready to work at one third of salaries but in India, because it makes more sense. Since, students from prestigious universities get jobs easily during campus placement in India. They don't wanna leave the country. Since US companies have to pay lesser in India they are establishing more and more offices in India. Brain drain is problem for India but it's improving and many came back, good thing is that our top talent stays in India. The number of good collages has been increased significantly which are pumping high skilled working force. Usually we don't have any working experience till 22 in any field but our education system train us to solve the problems by ourselves and make us fast learner. Hope it helps you in understanding the changes happening in Indian society regards immigration. Have a good day. World is one family ❤❤. It's a discussion it's not an arguments we do discussion on ever matter as Indian.

We are on the same page with our leadership and the unity of intent is a massive force. Our spiritual ( not religious) culture is our strength. We are a society who are not very materialistic and give a lot of importance to higher ideals like knowledge and respect. Sometimes people misunderstand us. We have now come out of the colonial mindset and don’t feel inferior anymore. We are slowly finding our path. Without competing with any one. Pls bless us

India is more democratic than ever. The families ruling India for last 75 years are now being rejected by the public. Meritocracy in Indian politics is the new phenomenon that you have missed. Becuase, your sources of information are biased. You need to expand your sources of information, do more fact checks and and thereafter do an introspection to understand the western feeling of fear of becoming obsolate in the emerging world order.

India is not autocratic but an amazing democracy. Here are some reasons 1- unlike American or western countries which have only one language of communication each Indian states have their own language we don't have only one official language but 22 official languages think how difficult it would be to communicate with each other yet India is a democracy. 2- Unlike Abraham's religions originated from Jerusalem ( Judaism, Christianity and Islam) who fight with each other despite having some common values examples crusades happened between Christan and Islamists, brutality of Nazi against Jews. India is birth place of 4 religious namely Hinduism, Jainism, Buddhism, Sikhism despite this we have religious harmony. India was divided on the basis of religion Islam and others yet islamic believers have their right to practice their not so peaceful for others religion yet India is a democracy. 3- In autocracy only one person deside the future of an entire country imagine how much it is difficult in India to win an election because it's so much diverse country so we are a healthy democracy don't use your superior white western mindset to measure our democratic values.

Honestly, there is a lot that Western countries like USA and UK can learn from India on how to conduct elections. And India has _always_ been democratic since the day the Brits left. So I don't understand this entire thing about "India moving towards Democracy or Autocracy" that this dude said in the video. WDYM? We already _are_ a democracy. Have been so for more than 3/4th of a century. The proof is there for everybody to see. So why pretend as if India has anything more left to prove on this front? As for "Modi = Autocracy" argument, don't these f00ls realize that India has been electing that dude with a massive mandate repeatedly? If Modi is being elected to power, how TF is he autocratic? Fails the basic smell test. Did he change laws that would allow only him to be elected? If so, which law was that? Because I sure as heck didn't see any such law or reform. Folks need to stop relying on these "indices" like "press freedom index" or "democracy index" that are compiled by no-name NGOs which receive funding from questionable sources. Instead, common folk need to use their damn head. Use their common sense. It is as clear as daylight that India is not an autocracy.

Despite what the media may be projecting, I can assure you that India is a far cry from an autocracy. We have several vocal opposition parties, unlike most other democracies where there are only two parties. Watch our parliament proceedings and you'll see the usual slugfest you see in the US and the UK. And there's both pro and anti govt. media just like in the west (although they really should be neutral). India is too diverse with too many interest groups for it to ever become the kind of autocratic nation that Russia and China are. Truth is that for better or worse, the majority is okay with the present establishment. And a lot of people are very angry about that and seem to think that it's only a democracy if they win and democracy is suddenly under threat when they loose. What's happening right now is just democracy at work. People were absolutely frustrated with the previous govt. and so they voted them out. That's precisely how democracy works. If the present govt. gets too cocky, the same thing will happen to them too.

Unless there is some Major War, Internal Conflict or WW III, It is highly unlikely that anything will stop our Progress to Phase 3 in coming 2 - 3 decades. As an Indian, we can assure u our Democracy is much stronger than u think. Because of diverse faiths, languages, cultures, Communities No One can dictate or dominate in our nation. Thats why its always Debate and Discussions that solves our problems in Chaotic Noisy Democracy. No one person or party can rule ruthlessly here. So how can we misbehave with other countries? N abt Autocracy of Modi.. This is just propaganda of left-liberal parties to win elections, nothing major. Yes, Modi is nationalist proud Hindu who wants to revive civilizational aspirations with modern values. No one can question his values and integrity of democratic principles.

No. We are already doing plenty to prove to the world that we are not a threat. At this point, those that want to see us as a threat regardless of our efforts are our enemies in the long term. This is like that scene from Breaking Bad when Hank tells Walter how he is the most intelligent man he has ever known and yet he is too stu!d to see that the man holding the gun made his decision long before Walter started pleading. Similarly, India's enemies have already made the decision to prevent India from rising beyond a certain point. No amount of appeasement will help us now. Not saying that we should go in all guns blazing, just saying that stop imagining a fantastical future where our appeasement policy yields us a return. USA has already made its decision. As has China. So let us strengthen ourselves to ensure they don't find any gaps to break our society and country, whether from outside by way of military attack (like China is already doing to India), or from inside by way of cultural subversion and hybrid warfare (like USA is already doing to India).

We've been an autocracy all but in name with one family (Gandhi) in charge of the entire country for almost 70 years. You could just tell the difference by looking at India's growth in the past decade when Congress (Gandhis) lost their grip. It's the propoganda that India is turning into an autocracy. It's the narrative most of the western media propogates

Only realistic black swan event that may mess up India is if AI or autonomy takes off, and that high youth population may backfire, as less jobs from AI. Like even with 100 million high paying jobs in India, with a pop of 1.6 billion that would make the rest of youth have less opportunity and extremely high competition, as businesses don’t need these extra pop. And that "less opportunity" youth will either protest, cause problems, or move out of the nations. So risk and reward with high pop in the coming modern times.

@@karlcarlos8516 true you can do a form of socialism with that, but that means other nations doing same method with lesser pop will be more advantage as less money to give out. The main issue becomes that if AI takes off, then in the nicest way possible, too much pop may render a lot of the population as a burden or dead weight. it 's depends on how skillful the labor it like if they are skillful beyond current AI then good, but no matter how good or expert, if the AI is just a bit better than business will find it easier to replace as cheaper, work 24/7, less cost on benefits, less cost to search for candidates, less complaining or civil rights, easier to expand work force as just buy more.

as an Indian, I hope you are right... but somehow I don't think it will be easy and it will certainly not be in the next ten or even twenty years I feel. That's because per capita income of India is one of the lowest in the world, and the top 1% of the population holds 40% of the wealth. Even if you leave out the top 1% (because several countries have the top 1% holding a disproportionate amount of wealth), the gap between the top 5% or even 10% and the median is even more alarming, which is not the case in most countries, even those with a lot of unequal distribution of wealth. The result would be that the rich and upper middle class will continue to get richer, but the poor and lower middle class will get poorer in the longer time frame as they continue to have more kids and are unable to give them quality education or the kids are unable to get jobs (latest reports show unemployment was around 5%+ in 2008, which is now 10.3% and the rate has risen almost every year). The govt is already under pressure to provide jobs to the increasing number of millions that come into the work force every year . That is a ticking time bomb really which can upend the prospect of getting the top spot because rapidly growing purchasing power really goes hand in hand in an ideal growth story. The prospect of teeming masses without jobs also makes me uneasy about social unrest a couple of decades later, personally in my mind. The only way India can actually galvanise itself to that spot, is with USA and Europe's help, because only if India replaces China as the manufacturing hub of the world, while beating out competitors like Vietnam Indonesia etc, can that goal be achieved. Even if it gets the top spot, India's interiors will certainly not look anything like those of a developed nation. So things are sunny in India yes, but the top spot will take a long time to come. I will be happy if I turn out to be wrong though.

Besides, other than USA and China, no other nation on Earth has even a sliver of a chance of taking on the Indian military as it is today, forget the rapid modernization happening right now. As for USA, they hate China a lot more than they hate us, so they want to partner up with us to take on China. Instead of wasting their energies getting a phyrric victory over us. As for China, they tried in 2017 and again in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Thought we'd be an easy target, but many failed attempts and sacked military commanders later, Xi has finally realized that taking Taiwan on will be easier. So he is busy purging his military to prepare for that. Who in the world can stop India now when they couldn't stop India back in 1971 when we created a new nation carved out of Pakistan. Or when in 1974 we became the only non-UNSC P5 nation to develop and test nukes. Or when in 2019 we displayed our ability to nuke all satellite orbits with a Kessler bomb.
