Probably because in a speedrun everything is about it as a game and it's objects, while in a normal playthrough you recognize familiar shapes and objects.

It's super weird to see someone speedrun a horror game. Either way, good run!

The end of this game made me feel like such a monster. I'm sorry White Face!

all I can think of when I see him running towards the chair and noose in the beginning is that one SFM spy clip. "That was idiotic, off to hang myself. WATCH AND LEARN--" I'm afraid I can't let you do that.

13:50-13:56 Spooky’s jumpscare mansion (Game maker) also had this “corner stuck” problem. Wonder if the engine (for game maker, not game maker itself) is the same for both games.

It's because both those games are technically 2d just rendered in 3d. That's why GM messes up the collision

I actually asked Ivan about this a while ago. He said he likes jank, but it's going away for the upcoming console / mobile ports of the game, at least on those platforms.

This is honestly impressive, great job man!

Hey man, another runner and former WR holder in the community here. I've got a question for you. First of all, congrats on your run, it's super clean, and kind of sick honestly. It's a great time. The runners in this community have worked tirelessly to come up with a route through station (with the gramophones) that is safe and ideal. We do have a route that's considered the "go to" route, that can walk anywhere between 19 to 59 blocks. How did you manage your station? It's almost as if you knew exactly where the gramophones were going to be, and walked to them. If you honestly used the stereo than I am wildly impressed. Please don't think this is an accusation of cheating, it's not, I would just like to learn. I have never seen that segment done like that before. Also I discovered labyrinth skip ok thank you bye

Heyo, thanks for the kind words. Regarding the station, I did use the stereo, (partially). If you're close enough to the gramophones, you can definitely notice a volume increase of the sound they produce. I would walk close enough to the one in the top left of the map so I would be able to hear it if it spawned, but not see it, (probably from 2-3 blocks away.) If there was no volume increase at that point, I would begin walking to the next gramophone. The other difference was since I only had access to the map of the station, I didn't know the optimal route so I decided to move around the map counter-clockwise instead of clockwise. Hopefully, this makes sense haha, if you have any more questions just let me know.

@@SilenceEruptsGL That's great! I depend on a more mathematical strategy that doesn't use the audio, but it is now clear to me that the audio is a factor that should be used. I'm gonna update my station route accordingly. Great work!
