Right? It's like, sure you can use presets and whatnot, but he does legit sound design which requires a fair amount of technical knowledge, an understanding of the science of sound waves, and musical aptitude. I think mixing and mastering traditional rock music is a bit harder, but as far as sound design and composing, electronic songs are much more time consuming, though this last bit is just my personal experience from doing both.

Michael Bush yeah, I make Dubstep and it is more than just pushing buttons, Let's seen him try to make one bass growl using Serum, Massive, and FM8. I doubt he has ever heard the term wavetable and I bet he doesnt know what FM even is lol.

I really love Skrillex and how he speaks, when giving advice and saying the way he feels, just moves me and he's so full of wisdom it's so amazing as his music is. And Jeff is full of wisdom that moves me too. Like when he said, "A leader doesn't make follows, the make other leaders." How moving. Anyways, I love Skrillex so much and his music and I hope he continues to do just fine in his career. :)

I was setting in the floor right in front of him. the dude has been one of my musical inspirations since 2006, really glad we had a very insightful conversation :)

This is also a conference that i wish people who hate Skrillex could see. To see how he isnt a "sell out" or a "burn out". He respects what people do and he has so much love and inspiration for younger generations of music. He stays true to what made him famous, from his friends, to his music, to his fans, to everything. He could be the best inspiration to any person from any genre of music because he can relate to so many. AND he is so humble. I love when famous people are humble.

Does it matter what he fuckin looks like ? He's Skrillex, he entertains you guys with his music. His face isn't a factor when it comes to music

This was really interesting to listen to. Consumers focus so much on the product that we tend to forget all of the hard work and details that go into making that product. Both gentlemen were interesting but I will admit that I stopped to hear what Skrillex had to say. Glad that I did... Much respect to him and all that he does.

For the record, I'm 70, played music most of my life, and have a college degree in audio and video production in 1992, and have ALWAYS been outside the box. I find your music enjoyable and appreciate something that is anything BUT medicinal mainstream! Thank you for doing what you do! Keep it up! God bless

I love watching documentaries about Skrillex just to hear what he has to say, and he definitely has plenty of things to share about himself. He's so creative and inspiring and it's always a pleasure to learn more about him.

Great conversation can't believe I'm this late finding it but on top of him being a pioneer, I think him being so accepting he was of social media reposting led to his superstar status. He could have gone the DMCA route when he was blowing up and killed a lot of hype and left a bad taste in fans' mouths.
