most of these are 100% personal... Tucking your elbows like that actually doesn't make the movement any better (or worse) it's personal. Don't trust stuff you see online to be the only right way to do things... What feels comfortable and works for you is probably just as good.

Generally speaking, he's probably right with regard to the upper chest, as tucking the elbows changes the path of the bar slightly in a way that recruits the upper chest a tiny bit better (depending on your bar path). The stretch at the bottom is better too.

Elbows out is actually using more chest and you get a deeper stretch but your in a weaker position. Elbows in your a lot stronger and secure in that position
