Improve Your Off-Side Shots (Cut Shot) in Cricket

Improve your off-side shots (cut shot) with these batting tips. Being able to play the cut shot well onto the off-side is an important skill to have in cricket to score more runs off bad balls.
Many a times I see batsmen (beginners and Intermediate batsmen) playing the off-side shots in ways that are not helping them hit the ball well. Some batsmen open up fully to the bowler and end up hitting the ball onto the leg side, where as they wanted to hit on the off-side. Other batsmen close the face of the bat to the ball and end up missing the ball, or hitting it up in the air. The remaining batsmen are just not balanced when playing the off-side shots.
In this video, I show you what these poor off-side shots look like and I also show you step by step how to improve your off-side shots with correct practice.

Unfortunately I cannot help you with bat selection, as that is completely personal and upto your preference and strength.
Sir pads making difficulties in playing legside shots pls make a video on it.

Hello Jashan, Tennis cricket mein stance mein koi zyada fark nahi hota, feet should be shoulder length apart, head steady looking towards the bowler, the bats face should be pointing towards mid on.

Sir u r telling about the inside edge which faces ball first but not the most common outside edge..which generally happens while offering offside shot..

Outside edge happens mostly on vertical bat shots (drives). Here I am showing you the cut shot, which is a horizontal bat, where most likely it will be inside edge.

Sir why are you stressing on bottom hand rather than top hand on offside shots, my strong bottom hand is the reason for my inability to score on off side

Remember this simple formula - bottom hand for horizontal bat shots, top hand for vertical bat shots.

Hello Jashan, straight marney ke liye, apni bottom hand ka grip sirf angoothey aur index finger sey karo, follow through the top hand/ arm straight after shot and let the bottom hand only support the bat with two fingers. Do let us know how that worked with you.
