This was so eerie ... I was sitting at my desk waiting for some e-mails while doodling flowers that was not quite happy with... and here comes lovely Shayda and posts a video about drawing it better! Well, thank you... 🥰
I just love listening to your voice that is so pleasant and pleasing. You are very easy on the ears and yet you never put me to sleep. I also like how you move right along and not drag out your lessons. Great doodles and watercolors. I absolutely love all your videos, thank you so much for your quality of work and videos.
I love the white on black. So sharp!
Lovely doodles! But I can't take my eyes off that beautiful scissors💖😍✨

I know, right? And then there's that rose gold binder clip, swoon! Granted, small things make me happy. :o)
Shayda, you’re so great at creating an atmosphere with your videos. I appreciate you so much. Thank you for sharing!
so beautiful👏👏👏👏👏💝
Great inspiration. I need to get a black fine tip waterproof pen and a white gel pen and doodle.
What a great video! I like the idea of black paper. I've been wanting to draw my cat, who is fluffy and black and this might be the answer. I also like it for the purpose it was used for in this video too. Thanks for all the great flower doodling ideas.
Please stop apologising for making it "science-y"! Making doodles accurate makes them more relevant. Loved this vid 😄
This is the kind of science I really like 😂😍❤️
I love watching you draw! It's so peaceful!! Thanks for sharing your creativity. BTW those are my word for this year too. Growth and Moving... this is Awesome. Blessings to you.
This was wonderful!! Thanks for the inspo!!!
Perfectly Imperfect doodles. Love it! and love your videos
Shayda. Love this. Thank you for all you do. I think it is great that you are adding more botanical info.
Thank you for helping me draw again in a different way and I'm enjoying it. ❤
Thank you for teaching! I like it 🥰
You are such a wonderful teacher!!!!! Thank you!!
I love the white pen doodles ♡
This was so satisfying to watch. Really enjoyed the white on black. Another great video. Thanks Shayda 😊
Beautiful botanicals! I just became a patron of your Patreon page. Thank you for having the tiers so reasonably priced. I can help support another artist and I can give myself some great drawing lessons for a great investment. Having seen lots of your KZread videos, I already I know that I like your teaching and filming style. My word for 2020 is: PAUSE. I knew I wanted to support you on Patreon but needed to wait until January 2020 so I had funds to do so. Happy New Year!

I love you 😍💯❤️
Hello! What a lovely video! 😍 may I ask something? Do you record your video with sound the first time or do you put your voice on it at the end?
I did this for my February month in my bullet journal but I used a black posca pen for the black background

what paper do you use for your line drawings? love your art!
10th like and 3rd comment !!!!! I love your videos !!!! Your a huge inspiration for me to start bullet journaling though my style is different of journaling !!!! I love you so much !!!!! Your art, your florals, your illustration, your editing !!! Gosh !!! I love IT !!!! I would like to say one last thing keep going , never stop and could you please make your videos a little shorter !!???
Never mind, Thanks I found your post under show more. Thanks, it does not show on my phone, but it does on PC.
I have this white pen and I always thought the tip was too thick... but now seeing you drawing with it changed my mind. Also, when you see a blank page, do you always start on the same spot? I never know how and where to start, and how to keep the same size on my doodles to maintain the scale. My drawings start big and get smaller and smaller while I go. Do you have any tips?
@ShaydaCampbell

Try moving around the page when you start and then use your smaller doodles towards the end to fill in all the little spots on your page ❤️
Yass in early 1st view!😁
Your videos are wonderful. I love all the hints and tips. I wish I could make my lines as smooth as yours! I'm going to be a teeny bit nitpicky please excuse me. The sepals make up the calyx so when you do a solid flower base it's a calyx. I hope I didn't offend you it's just one of those little things that makes me cringe like grammar police I have a floral tic.

Susan Egan I don’t see this as offensive. You stated your information politely.
Lovely drawing as always, my doodling has really improved since watching your videos :-) You got some of the parts of the flower incorrect though. The stamen is not the centre of the flower - it's just one of the little sticks (filament) with the blob at the end full of pollen (anther). Most flowers have lots of stamens. The pistil is the female part, e.g the sticky tower at the centre of a lily. Flower parts are so easy to get wrong e.g. what you're seeing at the centre of a daisy is not stamens - it's hundreds of miniature flowers.
Shayda, Guess what? you post everything that I usually need but I can't find black water paper locally. Any suggestions?

I live in a very small place and I have to order nearly everything online. Amazon and Dick Blick are great. I also love the Zentangle tiles (like a cardstock weight) that are 3x3” square and come in white or black. (You can doodle them up and glue them into your journal) :)
Oh gosh how I hate the way you hold your pen!!! (MY hang up, I know.)

Funny, how we differ--I wish I could train myself to hold a pen that way. The way I hold one makes me get an ugly callous on one side of my middle finger if I do too much of it. :o)
